I have this memory from when i was a kid, maybe 8 years old... i was hanging with this asian kid i had met from our apartment building. He was eating something and shared it with me. I’d never seen anything like it before- a flat sheet of dark-colored something or other, a little salty and i distinctly remember it being moist. It was delicious- he said it was an asian food and i was intrigued because despite being half-asian myself, i knew nothing yet about those cultures or what they ate. I finished it and asked for more. He ran back up to his place and after several minutes came back and handed me another wet sheet and i gobbled it down. This stuck in my mind for years as it was this kind of exotic thing and i never ran into it again.
Until recently i was enjoying a pack of those crispy seaweed snacks and i realized what had happened. The little shit had given me a seaweed sheet but had licked all the salt off of it before giving it to me.

I was looking into Unreal Engine 5 yesterday and the editor is very powerful creation and animation tool.
Does anyone know more about how it stacks up against real 3D apps like Houdini and Maya or Cinema4D?
To me it seems UE5 editor has pretty much everything. I mean even movies like Matrix 4 and some TV shows used it for some scenes.
Can it render traditional image sequences as well so you could comp it together in post?

It's not the first time but this morning I had to deal with a decapitated rabbit on our sitting room rug.
The cats drag them into the house through the cat flap occasionally.
Sometimes it's just the head missing. Other times they have eaten all but what appears to be an internal organ like the liver or stomach, along with some entrails.
Yesterday, it was a live mouse one of them brought in and let loose in the house. When he eventually caught it again, he chewed the head off and left it there.
Not my favourite way to start the morning but kind of getting used to it.

Thoughts on Moon Knight? I am trying to get through episode 3 and I'm struggling. The split personality shtick is getting tired, and as good an actor as he is, Oscar Isaac's British accent is dogshit. Almost as bad as Cumberbatch's cowboy twang in Power of the Dog. Not sure I'm gonna make it much further.

We want to make cookie-cutter vids using predominately graphics, images, and text. However, we'd also like to use footage as well.
The vids will be relatively short and highlight a certain aspect of a vehicle's history. I've found editorial footage of the cars...
If we are not directly selling the product in the piece, but just talking about the car, would that happen to land under editorial?
Or can only 'journalistic' businesses use editorial footage? My client is automotive retail.

My family took a trip last week and it was pretty damn awesome. We flew into Phoenix, drove 4 hours to the Grand Canyon, took a bike tour of the GC.
Then drove to Page, AZ to see Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend.
We then got our kicks on Route 66 and stayed in Seligman, AZ (big Cars fans).
Then headed to Las Vegas for a night.
From there we drove through Death Valley to Anaheim, CA and hit Disneyland Adventure Park.
Then we stayed out in Inglewood and hit up Santa Monica Pier, Lake Hollywood Park, Little Tokyo, then flew home yesterday from LAX.
1,248 miles driven in a fun little Kia Soul rental. I'd never been to Arizona before and I was really blown away at how beautiful the diverse scenery is. Antelope Canyon was surreal. I went for an early morning run on Route 66, very peaceful. As much as I hated the Disney theme park model, it was fucking awesome. We rode the rides from the singles line and waited about 1/10th the time as the standard line and covered the park in one long day.
Driving in Southern California is on a different level.
I have 50 GB of GoPro footage to sift through for some kickass home videos.- Nice. <3 I miss AZ after living there 25 years. Antelope Canyon / HS Bend etc— so pretty. :) Fuck the GC tho... lol... fucking tourist trap hole in the ground!!PonyBoy
