Hi frens! I’m In Hamburg with my family for 5 days. Any tips / cool places to visit? Currently using Tripwolf, but I’m sure you sheeple know better.

Using "Daddy" in sexual scenarios really creeps me out. Even more so in recent years as a man who has two little sweethearts that call me by that name for real. I think it's an American thing. If my wife said "Fuck me harder daddy". I'd lose my boner for about 6mnths. What's the thinking behind it. Daddy is literally the worst person in the world you would ever want fucking you FFS!!?!?!

man I haven't really ran uncertainty train in a while. client asked for some video stuff, basic but i don't even remember the last and single time I used mocha....or shot video with my 6D and non existent lighting kit... decided fuck it I'll do up one on proof of concept (more for myself). but always nice to to remember that uncertainty from younger years and needing remembering ingenuity from high school in camera stop animation shit. gives you a little tingle in your nether regions. Think I go tit but shit man a 4K footage would be so much better.

I just survived the liquidation of my entire product team at the tech startup I work for... The Director of Product and our UX researcher were cut loose. I was the UX/UI designer on that team but my position is now a bit fluid at the moment. The reason I'm still standing is because of my past experience with advertising and marketing as a AD. It's kind of a weird place to be in. Has anyone else lived through this and more importantly continued to work long term at the same company?

    • backstory: a consultant was brought in to streamline our tech ecosystem. He ended up pitching a product pivot and the CEO took it... using his 3rd party firm!brandonp
    • you make it sound like 100 people were fired but in reality only 2?NBQ00
    • Huge pivot, you're safe for 3 reasons. A) You are good worker, B) you are not political or C) you are very political.robotron3k
    • I survived our XD team and visual design team being cut by half once, and all department heads let go. It was really weird.mg33
    • yep just 3 on the prod team. Now it's just me. @robo, I'm guessing I'm here for reasons A&B. @mg33, it is very weird.brandonp
    • Not only that, we also lost our president and vp and all department heads that day.mg33

I'm from Vancouver. I live in the Boston area now, making video games. (Well, working IT for a major AAA studio at least). I'm moving to the Seattle area in a few weeks, changing to a new studio. I'm looking forward to it but also freaked out, as I'm moving with a wife and three kids this time. Just wanted to share that with someone, because I can't really talk about it at work.

The new job is pretty sweet so far. I have an office. My first office ever. I should bring in a plant, right?

My job has two parts: listen to people complain about how things are done and advise/implement fixes for their terribly deficient production process; and do a complete audit of their brand and brand architecture and redesign the whole thing.

    Hey, my door's always open.

Yes. Busted my ass yesterday and today to get new comps done for a client presentation, wrote notes, talking points, comped up what they actually need as food for thought for the future, even if their dev team can't implement right now. Basically twice the work at a reasonably rushed pace to be ready for a 2:30pm meeting.

Then double-checked my calendar, and that meeting isn't even until tomorrow... today's meeting is an internal check-in. First damn time I'll have been DONE with a ton of work a full day before it's due. VICTORY.
