It's kind of sad to see how unhappy some are with QBN posts. I can fully relate. But I believe, it isn't QBN specific. It's the way we live with media nowadays. We live in constant overstimulation. The amount of 'news' is higher than what our brain is able to take. And as negative news always get more attraction than positive news, negative outnumbers positive.

I also wish to see more of the works of QBN people, because I believe there are highly skilled and talented people here. Maybe just put bullshitting aside a bit and move on.

For me, it helps that I am in a different time zone (Germany). When the discussions get hot, I rest in bed for a good night sleep.

    Cheers!

    • I stopped posting my work probably over 10 years ago because those of whom disagreed w/me politically would react to my work rudely... disgustingly...PonyBoy
    • ... simply because we had an internet tiff. Others would be less foul but still rude w/ comments like "it's a shame you're a dick" (meaning they don't see...PonyBoy
    • ... 'eye to eye' w/me... so I must be a "dick" which made sharing my work a waste of time.PonyBoy
    • Before speaking my political opinions (of which I'm usually in the minority on a lot of my views) I was respected for the work I produced...PonyBoy
    • ... after a few heavy arguments / conversations in threads in which the 'other side' of the conversation was just as passionate about their views...PonyBoy
    • ... that respect disappeared. It got really mean at times... and that just got old so I stopped sharing.PonyBoy

    Hey guys,

    I still like QBN.

    That is all.

Do brands take Instagram seriously still? There's so much nonsense I see when managing an apparel account.

Maybe they need to clean up their following.

All I see is horribly cropped memes and a mountain of wasted time.

    • i was thinking about this yesterday. I really can't think of a brand i follow that i am inspired by. Artist/photographers are still what i'm liking on IGcapn_ron
    • IG is HUGE! all eyes on it. Millions of eyeballs per second of UNDIVIDED attention. It's solid.Krassy

    To friend and foe:

Be the change you want to see. This is the beauty of a community. If you see a community lacking in positive things, contribute those things. Be the harmony you desire.

    That is all.

45 years old, and I'm _still_ making rookie dating mistakes.

Weeks back, I met a woman I was *really* into. So, like the gormless numpty/emotional teenager that I am, what do I do? Instead of playing it cool, I come in way too hot; fawning over here, drowning her in compliments, texting her daily, the lot.

Net result: she got spooked, and isn't interested anymore (she hasn't said as much, but her actions say everything they need to say).

Now — in my defence — I hadn't dated in over five years, on account of being in a 5-year relationship up until October last year, and I'm pretty fucking rusty.

    But still ... ugh.

So, now I'm going NC, and we'll see if that draws her out (I'm not holding my breath).

    • I AM N00B.Continuity
    • I hear it's all about sending dick pics these days - perhaps give that a shot or six?Nairn

    • Thanks, folks.
Yeah, I'd decided I was going to do no contact/ghost her. If for no other reason that I see no point in investing for no return.

New dude and I are getting kind of serious. I like him soooo much. I'm moving out of my apt on the 15th and haven't secured a new house yet. Yesterday he said I could stay with him if I wanted which could be kind of nice to spend March together and save money. He's about to travel for 4 months, me for 2 months leaving around the same time. Like my old dude, he also tours a lot but much bigger arena tours. How do I keep dating guys like that? I'm not even trying I swear on God.

I'm currently traveling and last night at like 4am he calls me upset about something unrelated to me. I was touched that he wanted to talk to me when he needed support and I was happy to be that person for him. I get home tomorrow morning at 1am and all I want to do is go straight to his house but I should probably just go home. I've only been officially single since December and should slow down. But, our travel schedules are really accelerating things. He also could be *the one* smh idk. (---___---) How do you know when to just let the tide take you and stop fighting it? I wasnt expecting to fall into something so fast.

    • Just roll with it and enjoy the ride! Good luck!thumb_screws

I like QBN. While there are communities and meetings of design and creativity such as Trimarchi and others in the region where I live, it's really a pleasure to share with a bunch of lunatics, both in what we agree and in what we do not. Keep in that way. I hate to love you.
