Got fired last week. Cut off from the company software teat. Started a trial of Photoshop to update my portfolio. Trial ended two days ago but as long as I don't quit the app it continues to work. I'll eventually subscribe but now I'm curious... how long I can work without quitting this app. It's like a challenge. A month? Years?

i am taking a year away from the internet, at least as much as possible, outside of e-mail i intend to just, disconnect.
alas i will miss out on the shenanigans here, as i don't really do facebook or twitter or any message boards, but i suppose that is the point of all this. i've had a website / thought of a part of my life in terms of digital representation and the ability to publish ideas freely for my entire adult life, and have seen the internet deteriorate from a realm of possibility and inspiration in the mid-90s to the mall it is today.
and i have been wondering for some time how all this affects how i think, how i live, the choices i make, the processes or desired outcomes of my work... and i think none of it has any net positive effect, outside of a certain respect for nice presentations.
so i'm going to leave it all behind for a while and just disconnect my life as much as i can from online. i shut down my long-running blog and am just leaving a portfolio of work up for job applications and whatnot to reference. you kids play nice, this is one of the last pieces of the internet i'll actually miss.

Long shot question here, has anyone flown from California to Texas, (DFW Airport) recently? We have a flight on May 15th and then returning to California on the 18th. DFW says there is a 14 day quarantine, but our friends say people have flown in and out without issues. Trying to exhaust all information on this issue before we get on a plane.
