Has anyone got any examples of news based websites that work more as a weekly edition with 10-20 articles per week rather than a continuous stream of content?

    • there's "good news only" youtube channels, but since there's rarely any good news, they post like once every few weeks.YakuZoku
    • THE WEEK if you're into printcanoe
    • Thanks. I specifically mean a website that presents itself as a weekly standalone edition. Mad I know. Clients be clienting.HAYZ1LLLA

At Christmas, three friends and I each bought a lottery ticket and won €100. Guess what we're going to spend it on...

Bingo! On a fantastic dinner we're going to cook: Iberian chorizo and ham, roasted peppers, a couple of kilo-sized txuleta, cheese for dessert, and good wines.

And today's the day. I need to put a few kilos back on ;)

I'm going to draw a large-format piece in India ink for our bedroom. A free interpretation of Dalí's "Girl at the Window."

My wife doesn't know, but it's dedicated to her. The woman with her back to the viewer will be her, based on a photo I took of her a while ago.

    Keep this a secret ;)

    • It will be the third painting in the bedroom, next to a Chillida and a print by Koldobika Jauregi <3OBBTKN

My wife and I went away for a few days (300km from home) and we ate lunch and dinner at the same place, a Japanese tavern run by two Japanese guys (yes, I emphasize this because it's rare these days) and honestly, we haven't eaten so well away from home in many years! 10/10.

What time do you guys go to bed and wake up typically? Do you struggle to go to bed because you only get to work on hobbies and such in the evening, especially if you have kids?

I typically go to bed between 12am and 1am, and if I'm going into my office the next day I'm up at about 7:30 am and on the train at either 8:04, 8:23, or 8:43 to get in at 8:40, 9:01, or 9:31.

I would love to know what it feels like to just go "eh, I'm tired, it would be good to get more sleep than usual," and go to bed at like 10. It's 11pm right now now, I just wrapped up something for a meeting tomorrow, and now that it's "my time" I'm bouncing between a movie, working on some art, updating some stuff in VS Code with Claude, and yawning like crazy and I JUST CANNOT BRING MYSELF TO SAY "YEAH, GO TO BED, CALL IT A NIGHT."

I've been that way all of my adult life. I feel like if I go to bed before 11:30, I'm wasting time. It's ridiculous and I hate it.

I heard Bill Maher interviewing Fabio a while back, and they both realized they each go to bed between 1am and 2am, and get up between 11am and 12pm. That's the perfect schedule for me if I could do it.

    • I go to bed at 21 or 22h at winter (k.o. at 22:30 or 23h, wake up at 6h, at work at 7h. I try to "get more life" in summer.OBBTKN

Saw Ricky Gervais' latest special yesterday. Sure, he's still funny (IMO). Sure, I chuckled.

You know, I'm not a big fan of political correctness. However, comedians complaining about wokeness has become as tedious as wokeness itself. It seems so stale and 5 years ago. It went from being a rebellious breath of fresh air to being kinda smug, self-absorbed and arrogant and thus, unfunny.

It goes for people like Dave Chappelle, too. He's become pretty meh. Some people call him the GOAT, and now he refers to himself as such. Drinking your own Kool-Aid is a really bad sign.

    Next!

    • Can't watch Chappelle any more, too preachy and self important. I loved old self-deprecating Chappelle didn't take himself or anything too seriously. weed proba_niko
