What time do you guys go to bed and wake up typically? Do you struggle to go to bed because you only get to work on hobbies and such in the evening, especially if you have kids?
I typically go to bed between 12am and 1am, and if I'm going into my office the next day I'm up at about 7:30 am and on the train at either 8:04, 8:23, or 8:43 to get in at 8:40, 9:01, or 9:31.
I would love to know what it feels like to just go "eh, I'm tired, it would be good to get more sleep than usual," and go to bed at like 10. It's 11pm right now now, I just wrapped up something for a meeting tomorrow, and now that it's "my time" I'm bouncing between a movie, working on some art, updating some stuff in VS Code with Claude, and yawning like crazy and I JUST CANNOT BRING MYSELF TO SAY "YEAH, GO TO BED, CALL IT A NIGHT."
I've been that way all of my adult life. I feel like if I go to bed before 11:30, I'm wasting time. It's ridiculous and I hate it.
I heard Bill Maher interviewing Fabio a while back, and they both realized they each go to bed between 1am and 2am, and get up between 11am and 12pm. That's the perfect schedule for me if I could do it.
- I go to bed at 21 or 22h at winter (k.o. at 22:30 or 23h, wake up at 6h, at work at 7h. I try to "get more life" in summer.OBBTKN

Depends also on the seasons, place in Europe, etc.******** - @mg, I feel this too, and how after a full day of work and kids, “my time” doesn’t even begin until after 10pm. Sometimes falling asleep with the kids helps.monospaced
- Oh my goodness @monospaced has a life********
- I work on hobbies when I'm inspired which is usually around 4pm. I drop everything and go into the studio, but pay for it by making up work hours at nightcanoe
- Oh my goodnesss @graf has a life that he thinks people on QBN care about. You think people on QBN feel you bro? Ha!canoe
- yes Graf, having a house, wife and children, and a great job and vacations is a life. Sorry you don’t have one.monospaced
