I got two close friends(mid 30s) both dealing with their own mirror like relationship troubles, it's been the same complaints/venting for the past few months. Seems they rather deal with the BS then go ahead alone for a bit. If my friends dump their "love" that person is pretty much homeless and they are getting guilted for that too.

I saw Rage Against the Machine last night at the garden. I've never been a diehard fan at all and have just kind of enjoyed their more popular stuff.
HOLY SHIT. They blew me away. Not having heard their music in what feels like 15 years, they stepped up and annihilated a great set list to a very responsive crowd. Zach has a broken foot so he sat on a road case for the whole set, but that didn't lessen the intensity. Since Morello had to change guitars every few songs, there were these 2-3 minute segments where a slow-mo visual of a police officer with a robot-dog and a german shepherd staring down the lens, with this delayed synth bad-dream sound pumping through the arena. Those breaks were very interesting and added much needed contrast to the relentless pounding of their songs.
A friend gave me a ticket the day of and I was honestly not too amped up to go see them, but I highly recommend trying to see them if they come to you.

So today was awkward.
I walk to a meeting and see a woman standing at the entrance/ front desk lobby or whatever you call it of my company. I say hi to her and she smiles back at me saying hi too. Then I realize I went out on a date with her like half a year ago when we matched on bumble.
She's really cute but we didn't seem to match well for something serious. So a few days after we met I was in a silly mood and sent her a topless gym selfie, no dick pic. A best friend passed away on Monday after getting hit by a car on her e-bike. 35 years old with her whole life ahead of her. She had her 16-month-old baby in a carrier and somehow the baby came out without a scratch! Her husband is a firefighter and now his and the baby's life will forever be different. I will miss how she brightened up a room and was always so happy. Her poor daughter will never know how great her mom was other than by the stories we will share with her when she grows up. This week is tough for me.
