I sent a delivery of kimchi and hot sauces to one of my best chums as a Christmas present. They had a kid late last year, so I wanted to get something for Them, rather than the kid (for now).
After I'd ordered it, I checked the ingredients and realised belatedly and stupidly that they all contain onion. My friend's partner is allergic to onion. I should've ensure that wasn't the case prior.
Now I've just found out that my friend has a condition that means that eating too much hot sauce causes him terrible heartburn.
All in all, quite a successful present.

I have a zoom job interview today. Not feeling 100%, coming off light case of food poisoning. Still feeling woozy and light headed. I thought about rescheduling the interview, but im banking that i can power through it with this sickness. Hope the interviewers don't notice but probably will.

It seems the job market has shifted / is shifting,
As recently posted, I was let go from my position after our company sold off assets then shut down due to Covid.
Last year, opportunities appeared slim. Now, either due to budgets or possibly the vaccine, that tide appears to have changed.
Unexpectedly, I have been fielding interviews and offers for the last two weeks. I’ll likely be making my decision today regarding which path I plan to follow; whether that be a focus in marketing, branding, or packaging.
I only post this as I know I was not the only member to have lost their job, then began worrying the market had dried up, as career opportunities were few and far between.
I hope this can help add light to your search and encourage you to keep applying for positions you know you’re both capable of and truly interested in.

...I had a follow up interview today that went well. I plan to hear from them next week.
I still accepted the branding job in case that marketing gig doesn't come through. The packaging position didn't offer much creativity, so meh to that opportunity.
Don't get me wrong, my day hasn't been all amazing. Someone backed into one of my BMWs an hour ago.
It had a clean carfax! Insert tears here...

I have a faux fakebook account, which i stupidly assigned an old school to, so have been following along on occasion. Facebook's crack, don't want that. Anyway. I was a shit of a kid, as too a partner in crime, Rebecca.
Amongst a great many other things, I specifically remember us pelting the guy's head with flour one day (during break/recess), for reasons I now can't begin to fathom. Very shortly thereafter he took a leave of absence, which I subsequently learned (through a very pissed off father) were for 'stress reasons'.
I'm curious to see whether he'll remember me, and if so, respond.
