    I sent a delivery of kimchi and hot sauces to one of my best chums as a Christmas present. They had a kid late last year, so I wanted to get something for Them, rather than the kid (for now).

    After I'd ordered it, I checked the ingredients and realised belatedly and stupidly that they all contain onion. My friend's partner is allergic to onion. I should've ensure that wasn't the case prior.

    Now I've just found out that my friend has a condition that means that eating too much hot sauce causes him terrible heartburn.

    All in all, quite a successful present.
