Well. Seems my interview yesterday didn't go nearly as catastrophically as I thought it did.
I just got word that they want me to meet one of the C-suite guys, who would apparently be one of my main stakeholders, were I to get the gig. Which is fun, because she (the managing director) told me yesterday that she would get back to me some time next week.

this morning before i made breakfast, i definitely heard something hit the house / roof. I presumed it was a branch, looked out the kitchen window and didn't see anything, then thought nothing of it.
needed to leave about an hour ago. I walked out to the car, started it, sat there, realized i forgot something, so i walked back toward the front door. wtf is that? how did i miss that walking outside?
a limb, nay, a leader has broken off from the front tree and plummeted to the ground. it's a little under 10" at its thickest, around 16 feet long. I left the mess in the yard. I don't feel like getting sweaty cleaning that up.
