One thing I'm dealing with during this pandemic is the deprioritization of parts shipping. Things that would normally ship in two to three business days are now taking two to three weeks.
My world isn't ending, but when it comes to finishing details, it is becoming a burden sourcing parts quickly.

Anyone else in London getting wafts of what smells like bicycle inner tube air? I've been doing a lot of walking this morning, covering hornsey, crouch end, muswell hill and finsbury park, and I've been getting discrete wafts of this smell all over the place. I'm pretty sure it's not me, as the latest one I had came from a strong wind in my face, so no way I could've emanated it - unless something peculiar is up with my nasal receptors.
It's really odd.

but coming out of Waitrose this afternoon a young woman
pushing a trolley (whilst juggling a phone call) in front of me
r e a l l y fucking slowly which is just annoying at the best
of times so I skirted around her quite nimbly, only for her to
instantly cry out for help that I was invading her 2 metre space
and called for a manager immediately!
I thought fuck this and wandered off to the sound of a flailing
assistant shouting "sir, sir come back" I don't think this made
me an instant cunt so don't have any regrets, but it did make
me consider that some folks are so wrapped up in their own
world of shuffling along on the phone doing their shopping that
they should perhaps consider others, ie me, when I want to

Just spent an hour and a half cutting the last of 28 designs for a job. They're repeated pieces, 50x units, so in the document, I copy paste and align/spread to fit the material I'm working on.
Sent a celebratory email to the client as this job's has been on the low burn for quite a while now.
Job finishes, and I remove the pieces from the machine. Notice one has a weird cut on it, rendering it useless - "uh oh" - because I can't think of a single reason for its existence. "Something's up with the machine - shit!". But, for now it doesn't matter, as there's only one uni... oh, wait, there's another.
And another.
And - oh dear Lord, what's going on?
Turns out that the very first duplication, I must've fumble-pressed 'Ctrl+J' or Join Paths, because every second fucking piece has this same cut through it. 25 totally fucked units - half of them.
At least it's not a gliltch in the machine, and at least it was the very last piece, but fucking hell - I've just wasted some quite expensive material, and 45 minutes of my life.

Well, what a day...
So my iMac crashed this afternoon :(
All Apple shops are closed ofc because of the quarantine so no help in sight :(
After a few hours of thinking what to do, I remembered I still had somewhere an ooooooold Macbook Proooo, like really old since before unibody Macs...
Searched for it in the house, found it and IT LIVES!
But actually the keyboard and trackpad are dead so I spent another hour trying to add the bluetooth keyboard and mouse from the iMAc to get them to work with this old MB Pro and I finally did it!
Happy to be browsing QBN again from an ancient Mac OS X 10.5.8 Core 2 4GB RAM MBpro!
Now I need to figure out how to come up with the cash for a new Mac as I can't fix my iMac for at least another month as all repair shops and apple retailers are fucken closed :((
I can only order online for a new one BUT I don't have a couple Gs for a new machine as I'm running on fumes here with this corona situation :(
This sucks, but hey at least I can browse QBN again...
I hope you guys doing better, hugs!
p.s. I can browse only simple websites like mostly text and images, can't even open Youtube on this old machine :(

- looks like you need to open the screen, as everything is behind the imac's screen, to get to the ssd, this is beyond me at this point...grafician
- Tools are cheap just find out which multi-tool has all the bits you need. Parts can be hard to come by, but if it is the SSD you might be able to do it yourself********
