Anyone else in London getting wafts of what smells like bicycle inner tube air? I've been doing a lot of walking this morning, covering hornsey, crouch end, muswell hill and finsbury park, and I've been getting discrete wafts of this smell all over the place. I'm pretty sure it's not me, as the latest one I had came from a strong wind in my face, so no way I could've emanated it - unless something peculiar is up with my nasal receptors.

    It's really odd.

    • @Nairn, I'm in Crouch End, can't say I've smelled it. I do feel like my sense of smell is keener now on my one outing a day, after being indoors all the timeBaskerviIle
    • Probably not, shapesalad, but you keep banging that flaccid drum you miserable dog. How's the wife?Nairn
    • @baskerville - it's not constant, just occasional wafts. Had a couple of my way home too. Given I had none all afternoon in studio, am sure it's not somehow me!Nairn
    • Petrichor. ? Love it !_me_
    • It most definitely is not petrichor, sadly.Nairn
    • Had it again on the st. outside. Now wondering whether it might just be escaping tyre air, somehow particularly noticeable in these clean air times of ours.Nairn
