I'm considering a brand new $650 collection of visuals that would be very useful/inspiring and probably instantly pay for itself but I can't convince myself to bite the bullet!
There's no single book equivalent in terms of how much of a goldmine this book is.That's the original publisher price (limited run + signed by some celebrity, none of which I care about), second-hand goes for close to 2k, ouch.

Yesterday marked 90 years since the coup d'état that led to the Spanish Civil War... I curse all those who dragged us into that shit—on both sides—that we still haven't managed to escape.

Hadn't seen any mosquitoes so far this year until killing the biggest, bastard mosquito I think that I've ever seen just now. It was like a centimetre long! Where i work we're updating our website to reposition ourselves AGAIN - this time as a company who can scale up, working on high demand, complex spec, tight deadline-based stuff. One member of our team is getting pissed our CD is using ChatGPT for everything and it seems he wants our focus to be on "The challenge is no longer creativity—it’s execution".
For starters, the word execution pisses me off. I feel like ChatGPT is telling us something by constantly offering up Execution as a term we should use. It came up when we were positioning ourselves as a marketing company too. It sounds murderous to me. like, who's being executed. But I get the context.
Secondly, AI is everywhere in our business and i feel like it's important to show how we see it as a useful tool, but not as a means to an end. Ultimately if you ask it to reposition your company, you're only ever going to get biege slop. It has no true creative faculties like a human and doesn't really challenge what you want to do. But how do we adapt in times like this? It's used in EVERYTHING. The challenge is definitely creative if you're relying on ChatGPT for things.
And thirdly, maybe i need a new job.

From what I was told, kicking someone while they're down is becoming increasingly common in fights these days.

Thought I'd share this as I don't remember if I have done before, it's a cool bit of a bomb! It's a piece of an incendiary bomb that fell near New Bradwell in WW2 it was given to my father by an old man who's house he was clearing for his business Sellit & Soon (then Milton Keynes' only 2nd hand shop) in 1973. Obviously there is no proof other than one man's word but it IS an actual piece of shrapnel which may be a part of one of the few bombs to ever fall on MK, I keep it in an old chocolate tin.
