Hadn't seen any mosquitoes so far this year until killing the biggest, bastard mosquito I think that I've ever seen just now. It was like a centimetre long! Little cunt'd obviously had a couple of probes around my ankles, because they're itching like fuck, but there was no blood when it wa squished.

Unless, of course, there's another... .

    • Tiger mosquito? We hardly have any at home—not even flies; my wife installed insect screens on all the windows...OBBTKN
    • But I think there's a mound in the garden; every time we go out, we come back with bites—and they hurt like crazy. If you're allergic, take antihistamines.OBBTKN
    • flippin tiger is starting to hustelin around here too... fucking basterds..neverscared
    • I'm guessing it was a Banded Mosquito (Culiseta annulata). Didn't get too much of a look at it as I flailed my hands at it, and then it was mulch.Nairn
    • I doubt it was a tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus), they haven't made their way "up nortf" yet. They're evil, active all day unlike the mosquitos we're used to.palimpsest
    • We started seeing them in Bordeaux 8 years ago. They were in Strasbourg last year but this year they're gone. It's either too much heat or bats.palimpsest
    • Cities have been taking measures to get rid of them. It's impossible to be outdoors when they're around.palimpsest
    • The ankle bitting ones where imported into the states from China when they imported Bamboo supposedlyGuyFawkes
    • Nah, mozzies hunt low and flee high.Nairn
