Haasie is my favorite image sharing platform now. Who here was behind it again?

- I tried to upload a 15-20mb mp4 file but it always has errors and never works. Any idea?NBQ00
- That's odd. I would need to see the file. Can you upload it somewhere where I can download it from?skinny_puppy
- Here: https://streamable.c…NBQ00
- Thnx, that version is 3MB - perhaps Streamable compressed it? I uploaded it here: https://haasie.com/9…skinny_puppy
- QBN doesn't support MP4s so just in case I converted it to GIF: https://haasie.com/k…skinny_puppy
- Cool but the original mp4 was about 19mb. Your page said max 200mb. Was it the resolution maybe? is there a restriction of resolutions? Does 4K res work?NBQ00
- I've done some tests. A 103MB file failed, so something I should look into. But I uploaded videos of 30MB and 36MB fine. Resolution shouldn't matter.skinny_puppy
- This is 4K and 19MB: https://i.haasie.com…skinny_puppy
- I started using it today. So far, excellent. Thanks @skinny_puppyrenderedred

Had the day off today and been trying to focus solely on the endless number of things I need to do to get an Etsy shop finished and there's just so much to do. It's completely overwhelming, between Etsy setup, product setup, POD printer setup, etc. etc.
My anxiety is already at peak insanity thanks to politics and this all just makes me feel like my chest is being crushed. It will get better as I get a round of products listed and really understand the full A-Z process, but it's just completely all-consuming.
- Unless you’re active in politics with meetings and action, just try to tune that shit out. Your mental health is not worth that nonsense.monospaced
- Appreciate the advice and trying my best. But being in the Chicago area, where so much ICE stuff is happening is mentally draining.mg33
- I'm a massive empath and it's hard to not feel intense empathy for those impacted by all this evil. Thank God for therapy.mg33
- That’s right! You’re in it.
Stay strong.monospaced - Seriously though... take a break from everything that is distracting you. Stay conscientious of your signal to noise ratio. Because what you really need...canoe
- for your mental is one thing, and that's to get the shop up... not to worry about something you can't do anything about... at least for now... be selfishcanoe
- Thanks guys, seriously. I'm really eager to get the shop up; it will be the culmination of 18+ months / hundreds of hours working on my generative coded art.mg33
- Nobody tells you how much is involved beyond simply making the images themselves. That's the easy part. Trying to figure out the right way to domg33
- the Etsy part, the POD printer parts, make mockups, write descriptions, etc. so as to not make any mistakes.mg33
- Maybe it’s something you scale. Start with 3-4 options and once you get wrinkles ironed out you open the flood gatesmonospaced
- ^ MVP is a good planmort_
- You need a proper day off away from work, women and side hustlesSlashPeckham
- On Etsy it's best to launch with at LEAST 10 products. And be patient... the first "true" sales takes about 2 / 3 months.Centigrade
- yes, doesn't happen overnight, and need some product volumecanoe
- You got this, bro!stoplying
- Thanks again! Aiming for 15 prints, just so much work doing mockups, writing stuff, etc. Can only do so much with AI.mg33
- Hey mg33, sorry for the shit stuff. Etsy is a ball ache to set up but once set up you're good. Grind through the grinder. Use it to tune out the shite.Horp

Tomorrow I'm going away for a couple of days with my wife to visit a winery and stay at an agritourism hotel, as a gift for our silver wedding anniversary.
Something quiet; a bit of gastronomy, food-nerdy, autumn landscapes, forests, vineyards...
And... yesterday my mother was admitted for a rampant infection; today I have to spend the night with her. I hope it's nothing serious, but if anyone is a real sick person, it's her.
It's going to be a great help to have all the wine in the world nearby ;)
- I just reread the post, and, sorry, I wanted to say (or so I think) "She's a bad patient."OBBTKN
- ...La Rioja?
I'm sorry to hear the news about your mother. Get well soon.Miesfan - Thanks @Mies. Rioja alta, first, and, obv. Arabar Errioxa, next (Laguardia!). Will share pics... Mom is ok, it's a long story ¯\_(ツ)_/¯OBBTKN
- We're going to visit a winery with horrible branding, but a very interesting wine :)OBBTKN

Asking how something was made is a sign of insecurity. When you see an image, instead of experiencing it, you focus on the process, as if naming the tool will make it safer. You mistake the tool for the intent and the trace for the experience.
Everything visible is already mediated: pigment, lens, pixel and light. There is no purity left to recover, it's all translation. Yet the old reflex persists: if we can identify the technique, perhaps we can shield ourselves from its impact.
Skill matters, but only as a form of language. Beyond that, the work either holds up or it doesn't. The rest: the taxonomies and moral hierarchies of 'real' versus 'fake' are merely a way of avoiding the fact that seeing has never meant knowing.
- "Oh, wow, that's an expensive-looking camera. You must be a good photographer."Continuity
- Exactly, the image isn’t in the gear, it’s in the seeing.palimpsest
- Yes, but sometimes, if you are a creative, its curiosity, about seeing something different in your mind and wondering if it would be possible to do this.webazoot
- I’ve asked this several times and it’s not insecurity. Usually with motion and animation. It’s curiosity.monospaced
- Yes, but my argument wasn’t about how ideas are executed, but about what happens before we even name them as ‘ideas'. How they are perceived.palimpsest
- That first instant of seeing, before process or curiosity.palimpsest
- But I did say 'Asking how something was made is a sign of insecurity.' so I can see how that was read literally.palimpsest
- It was your “thesis” statement ;)monospaced
- @grok is this true?NBQ00
- Why is this not true?
Post facts, to debunk.palimpsest - surely gigers art fucks u up proper without or with knowing the technique...form of languange is superior when u consider yourself a formalist.neverscared
- An awkward question, before the advent of AI, how many years of your life did you spend perfecting your style and skills?OBBTKN
- It probably has nothing to do with what you were saying, Pali, but... I was waiting at a traffic light, and I thought it was a good idea to say it ;)OBBTKN
- This is great pali, it really got me thinking about how I react when I encounter a new work, and for me it’s always a fascination not with the process - paints_niko
- Lenses, techniques etc but with the thinking and journey of how they got to this place, what makes them tick._niko
- lets hope the whole a.i thing finally pushes creatives into a post branding civilisation and makes all the nonsense adverstising obsolete because of ubiquity ofneverscared
- close to zero skill high resolution output.neverscared
- amen @nsOBBTKN
- @niko, I think it’s fair to say that we can do both — appreciate the art and the journey for what it is, and then also be curious about process and technique.monospaced
- I just don’t think it’s that big of a deal to ask as to judge someone by it.monospaced
- All you who watched the show "How It's Made" are insecure and weak! It's a fact! Prove me wrong.pango
- I've found process and tools are more the focus when learning. When fluent in those, then there's the space for more direct creativity.mort_
- "If I know you did it, then I can do it too, and then we are equal"cannonball1978
- I have to admit that as a retired image maker, I do tend to default to looking at the rigging as much as the scene. This was always apparent whenever...Horp

We're in the market for a new car for "my wife", an ev.
We love the 500e, but the Inster is the winner.
My youngest sister is a car-seller, she can get us a good deal, and with government aid... we took the plunge. My wife's car was already 20 years old.
The Multipla is out of the question. I'll keep it until the last drop comes out of the Persian Gulf!
- The Hyundai is the closest thing to the Fiat, smaller, but the concept is similar ;)OBBTKN
- I'm not convinced at all by the new Panda, it's too "conventional", too Citroën-like... and the latest generation of Stellantis, leads them to total ruin.OBBTKN

Yesterday was a tough day as our wonderful little Totoro had to be put to big sleep after 3 or 4 days of breathing issues. Poor little lad was such a beautiful friend and member of the family and taking him to the vets didn't feel like a 'end of days' situation until we got the phone call that they had no choice but to put him out of his pain. Been such a sad time since. The house just isn't the same without him and alls the toys he'd piss about with seem stuck in time.RIP Totoro :-(

We bought a new (tent sale) refrigerator this weekend and it was delivered today. So it was bought once, delivered to a house, but customer didn't like it so it was never hooked up and returned. We got a great deal on it.
Our old fridge was from 2001 and had developed a leak - traditional freezer on top, fridge on bottom, no frills.
Our new fridge is a counter depth, smudge-proof stainless steel, freezer on bottom. She's not as deep inside but fridge on top is great. It's such a huge visual upgrade when I walk into the kitchen now, the thing is a glowing silver food box of possibilities.
I'm afraid to see how quickly it will break as everyone I talked to has had to repair or replace their new refrigerators within 5 years or so. We got the 8 year warranty.

Been with into some old friends yesterday eve, a few beers... and so old, they all had a common topic of conversation: retirement, how burned out they were...
I still have a long way to go, and so be it, I don't know, right now, I don't feel like it, I still have energy.
A juice and a latte, I get dressed up, and a bike ride. It's been a while since I uploaded anything to Strava, I'll show HijodeMaite off a bit ;)
Love and peace, freaks <3
