Is Madrid a bit meh, or is it just me? Just spent 5 days there. I was a bit bored, I must say. Barcelona's more my jam.
I found charming areas, sure. But... hmm....

Next month docs will do a prostate biopsy on my dad (79), it is very likely that it will be nothing, but he is very nervous now. Always been a strong, athletic man who has taken great care of himself.
I don't know if I'm not more terrified than him. I wouldn't like to close this year with that "kind of thing".

Just to let you know tonight is my last show on CRMK radio in Milton Keynes, I have been broadcasting with them since 1991 so it's the end of an era for me (and them haha) Since moving to Scotland a few years ago I carried on doing regular mixes for them, reposted here of course, but I am so out of the loop with the station now I have cut the ties and it was also costing me £10 a month to pay for a studio I have not used since before the pandemic!
The Garden mixes will continue on Mixcloud on an irregular basis but I also do Skylarking mixes every 2 weeks for a Scottish station called Tak Tent (latest out today) and they are always looking for new folks to contribute music/spoken word contributions, so join them if you like, they're lovely folk too.

My local McDonalds burned down in MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES this week, no-one was hurt but a few burgers were burned.
