Any of you run a YouTube tutorials channel to teach Adobe programs? If not why don’t more of you guys do them? Seems you could monetize some of your years of experience.

I’m currently trying to learn Premiere Pro and After Effects at the same time.

    • Quite a lot of time and work costs us the mere fact of using them ;)OBBTKN

I wonder if walkthroughs hurt the gaming industry?

I never played The Last Of Us 1 & 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and others, I watched the walkthroughs.

I had a discussion about this with a friend yesterday.

Personally, I don't think it does. Gamers want to game. Some of us don't have the patience to complete a huge open-world game, but just want to see the game being completed.

    I walkthorughs weren't a thing, I still wouldn't play these games.

    • It seems to me that walkthroughs are nothing new, anyway. Prior to the internet, they existed in printed magazine form for popular games.Continuity
    • The short answer is, nah, I don't think they hurt the industry at all. As you say, gamers want to game.Continuity
    • I remember playing ICO on the PS2. Was possibly the first game I played all the way through. I still watched the walk through though, to see how others did itIanbolton
    • I followed the walkthrough for Fez though. That was solid. Got to 96% complete and lost my saved game, so never played games again!Ianbolton
    • think it can depend on the studio size. Doesn't effect Giant studio's but a small indie developer that may sell 1200 copies and have 2500 walk though views...Nutter

    Anyone else ever do this?

I reset my wardrobe this year. Maybe the first time I've bought several articles of clothing in the last 4-5 years. I went into it buying the same brand jeans i already wore, in the same size, then dress shirts, undershirts, followed by socks and underwear. i can see myself retiring a couple of ties for new ones and I'll keep my wool coats. Shopping for new shoes to add to the ones I ordered last week. I donated what I could and threw away the rest. It's like an OEM part refresh of my style. I'll look the same, but everything will be new.

Cleaning the bathroom is much easier if you just take everything out and powerwash the thing with a pressure sprayer. It even detailed the grout. Can’t believe i never thought of this before.

Weeks ago I posted about seeing a dude knocking a girl around the parking lot and then more inside the building (to the point there was fresh blood in the apartment hallway etc). I called 911... I had mentioned that it seemed like the cops didn't give a shit — I was wrong. They're days if not hours from pressing charges. The girl came forward (as did her roommate). I had an officer show up at our door today asking if I'd be willing to add an additional statement as to what I witnessed. I agreed... not a fan of such things as I have to go on record and may even be called to testify... small price to see the vile fuck locked up tho. *fingers crossed

The kid's been invited to a birthday party at the weekend at some place that requires a waiver submitting. Waiver includes details like Kid's Date of Birth and copyright over media taken for use in their marketing.

There were two West Coast American-sounding women on the bus today, as I came in to work. Both of them had the most egregious vocal fry I've ever heard in person and I ended up laughing at myself at how angry it was making me as they yakked on and on.

I was dearly wanting to turn around and demand they STOP. THAT. NONSENSE. NOW.

It's such a horrid sound. I don't know why certain people choose to deploy it.

    .

This isn't me being anti-American. it's specifically the vocal fry, not an otherwise often-charming American accent.
