Anyone watch the new Matrix?
It felt a bit like a catch up video, some bits were ok, but mostly it was a bit weird,- Yeah, it was bad. Not fun to watch bad, just boring bad.robotinc
- Old French movies from the 60’s are better. Modern stuff is just noise and agenda.shapesalad

anybody else hit the lottery hard over the Xmas season? With the hope of quitting their job and not having to return to work.
I know odds are bad.... but risk to reward ratio is favorable.

After throwing up and having diarrhea all afternoon until now I'm gonna do the Santa and build the second hand drum kit I bought for my two year old daughter because there's nothing better than the sound of bad drums played by a two year old early in the Xmas morning.
I'm really not into Xmas but my partner's really into it, so I just play along and my two wishes were no religious songs and no Xmas Tree from dubious origins.
Merry Xmas to you all, hope you all are having a good time with your loved ones.
Peace*

I’ve been maintaining an operational level of soused leveraging off a counteractive hit of weed vape for a solid 12 hours. Think I have hit the perfect equilibrium for the festive period.

Man... this ashes series... just put up a fight England. I feel embarrassed for England.
- aye its a bit of a shocker... still, going to the SCG next week._me_
- Something is not right with the english side. They dont get round each other, no passion, dont look they they want to be there.thumb_screws
- I'm going to the Bellerive test. Was hoping it wouldn't be a dead rubber.thumb_screws
- i think it was always going to be that one - but i agree theres no fight at all._me_
- So depressing. Take Root out and it's one of the worst batting line-ups ever. Eng haven't focused on producing test batters for years, and it shows.Fax_Benson
- Bit better this morning from Englands bowlers ! - might be a good match yet !_me_
- Spoke too soon _me_. I ducked out to do some gardening and England are 4-22thumb_screws
- aye - that was a shocker. big day for Root today. *fingers crossed._me_
- oh and didnt realise Bellerive is a day nighter ! you gotta go to that !_me_
- OMG - shocking - I might not even go to the SCG - what a calamitous disaster they are_me_
- Boland on debut tho - hats off to him_me_

Any tips on setting up a file to be printed with giclee (posh inkjet) 12 ink printer? 300dpi = yep. RGB = yep.
How to avoid the overly saturated RGB print look?
To deal with subtle details in the blacks? I’m finding they get burned out and those areas are sheer black to the point that the pigment is too built up on the paper.Would an overall desaturation and a bit of playing with levels help?
- Would be worth messing with colour rendering in profiles. If photographic, go perceptual, if painting/illo try relativesausages
- Profiles generally do better job with loading over eyeballing with filters and tweaks on-screensausages
- Giclée is literally just inkjet, not posh Inkjet. Set up in CMYK, and again, talk to your fucking printer, not us.Nairn
- I see sausages sit down and start talking to that printer lol.
paper/ink relation won't change with the saturation, just simply don't use 100% RGBsted - 97-98% black in the most darkest areas is perfectly fine, top-up the green a bit if it feels graysted
- Your printer should have a colour profile (icc) that you can install. No way they don’t have oneGnash
- <<sausages
- I have icc. Yeah it’s hard to talk to the printers as it’s a POD app that sends my orders to various printers globally.shapesalad
- Ah good, most of the way there nowGnash
- Thank you all for the advice :-)shapesalad
- You could test print a swatch palette, then either use an i1 studio to build a custom profile, or just use those colours as a reference to adjust curves.monNom
- Changing suppliers throws a wrench into things. Maybe use a local/smaller shop so the equipment isn’t changing from print to printmonNom

Is it just me or is there an insane amount of tv and movie content now?
There’s too much TV being produced to watch. Like, there’s too much of JUST STAR WARS content to keep up. If you were unfamiliar with Star Wars, for example, you would not be able to become well-versed in it. You don’t have the time. And that’s just one franchise.
Who the fuck has time to watch all this?
- Others will say there's barely anything new to watch :)grafician
- get a lifeKhurram
- You don't have to watch anything? You know this.jagara
- Oh I don’t watch any of this shit. I watch about one movie a month and haven’t watched a TV show since.... Peep Show?********
- This. Which always leads to the "You have to see ____, it's so good" convo. To which I reply "oh yeah cool" and never watch it. What a good problem to have.stoplying
- Who said anyone watches all of it? Tv is a great form of entertainment and the wide selection of content makes sure anyone can get what they want.monospaced
- Most people saw the original Star Wars movies decades ago. Keeping up was a max 2 hr commitment a year?monospaced
- Exactly. Too much made up fiction. Why fill your life with made up drivel. If you went to a library and took out 10 books it’s ok if 1 is fiction, no more.shapesalad
- I think people watch less in breadth and more in depthdrgs
- lol at the absolute bullshit idea that one should not read too much fiction, fuck off with that nonsensemonospaced
- Go to the library. Get good books to read. Get one non fiction no more because that shit is boring af.monospaced
- Most of it is shit.mort_
- (Referring to TV)mort_
- I though much the same when we signed up to Disney+ and I realised how labyrinthine the utterly pointless the Marvel series of movies is.Nairn
- I think we're getting pretty fucking good at spinning a good yarn. Fiction can hold way more truths than non-fiction.Ianbolton
- But there is a lot of shit about. And a lot it can become popular (Squid Games) that I think 'shit, do i need to see that?'Ianbolton
- Then I come back and scroll through QBN for some balance. Hope you've all had smashing holidays xIanbolton
- Squid Games was a good series. Pretty much the only one I watched this year.yuekit
- But I agree nb, it's gone too faryuekit

Sorry to hear that pango, just not familiar with weather patterns in Canada :|grafician - stop using Fahrenheit! it doesn't make sense! 32F for water to freeze. 96F as average human temperature. 0F as the freeze point of Brine?!?!?!?pango
- BRINe?!?!??!pango
- Nobody talks about freezing brine, or 0 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s not hard to remember 32 either.monospaced
