Listening to the opening speech here about how to interpret Bach, or indeed Hamlet - I'm wondering how such interpretational thinking can be applied to design, in particular UI design. In Sketch you draw a box for a button, place some text, choose fonts and colours, but how about some element of dynamic interpretation. Can we give differing scales or opacity to every element, go against traditional logical designing thinking, break free from the grid and design guidelines and the expected - much like Gould giving volume to each note - or will we end up with a mess?
I'm thinking of researching this thought further and setting myself up as a consulting, as a 'Design Conductor'.

My neighbours just installed a basket ball net on the metal ramp of the stairs in the backyard. They're my floor neighbours, we share the same metal ramp.

I was at the Radiohead concert last evening and 2 annoying girls just kept talking the whole show behind me, like they weren't listening the show at all, they were there to chat like they're in a bar. Everyone was giving them angry looks but they just kept doing it. The girlfriend hooked me up with a set of 4 Lodge cast iron pans I'd been eyeing lately for my birthday. As I am the predominant cook in the relationship, I saw this as only a good thing, she likes my cooking and wants me to keep doing it.
Long story longer, I used the grill pan to sear a few pork loin chops last night and omg... delicious.
Same seasoning I always use. Seared each side two minutes covered in a pan oiled and preheated to half heat then put the uncovered pan in a 400 degree preheated oven for another 8 minutes.
It didn't taste like it ever had. So rich and full of flavor. Not juicy but not dry. I didn't believe I'd made it. I didn't believe I'd made it in 12 minutes.
