Back in LDN after a few weeks in Italy. I've been walking around outside all day with a mask on, because over there you're not allowed outside without one and i've just got into the habit. Need to stop. Also, you can't sit in a cafe, bar or a restaurant, etc, without presenting a QR-code reference to proof your vaccination status.
Anyway, reason I'm posting is - literally every cunt I've spoken to in the single day I've been back in London (about 8 people now - I'm a lonely human) has mentioned at least one to a few people in their circle who's had covid over the holidays. Crazy. Up until today I'd perhaps met the same amount of people again over the entire duration who had.
Probably a good thing - vax and omnicron bodies might hopefully begin to put this shit behind us.

Trending up.So, today's rate is probably 750k cases per day.
61 million cases have been recorded in the US.
Let's say it levels off and new cases remain steady or it goes up a bit and then back down: it would take still take one full year from today to record a total of 330 million cases, more than the total population of the United States.
But if we follow the trend line, roughly, in about 6 weeks you're looking at 2 million cases per day. (Do we even have enough tests?) We also can assume a ton of cases go undocumented as many have very low symptoms and tests aren't available.
So let's hope this thing tapers off, but I don't see us getting to post-covid endemic until 2023.
