COVID vaccines are free because they "saves lives". Then why isn't insulin free? That saves lives too.

Boris Johnson's former advisor claims "herd immunity" was the UK government's official strategy until last fall

    https://www.theguardian.com/poli…

    • A year and a half in, has any country achieved anything approaching herd immunity without vaccines?yuekit

    • depends on who you ask. I hear there’s this one silly fool who is convinced nyc reached it long ago and everything we are doing is pointlessmonospaced

A model I knew died from her vaccination with AstraZeneca. She was around 30 yo and browsing her timeline on FB hurts. She has a thumbs up emoji saying "Hey, I got my first jab #AstraZeneca" and now, she is dead.

This post is non-political, I always am. But it just hurts and shocks when you see someone died who had a name and wasn't just an anonymous number.

In the news (and here), the purport is "you are less likely to die from vaccine than from Corona" which statistically is true. But when the statistic has a name and you knew the person and look at her age, it absolutely makes no sense anymore.
