Like seriously Melbourne.. what the fuck.. I get that lockdown is fucked.. but standing around in groups of thousands, no masks singing “we’re not going to take it” a few hours before lockdown is not the answer ..
You petulant fucking babies
Obviously this is directed to the mouth breathing dimwits.. not the rest of the city who are just bracing for the onslaught

- In France and Belgium they have decided to not lockdown again if there's a new wave.ApeRobot

Along with the Virus potentially coming from the the lab in Wuhan I think we’re going to start hearing a lot more about a drug called Ivermectin. It’s currently very effective against COVID yet any discussion of efficacy is being suppressed.
The Dark Horse podcast has just broadcast a live discussion examining Ivermectin and its effectiveness.
- FFS fuck off! https://www.fda.gov/…jonny_quest_lives
- tell u what live your live according to the "darkhorse podcast" it seems to have all you need but don't share your crazy ass non peered review bullshit herejonny_quest_lives
- "vermectin tablets are approved at very specific doses for some parasitic worms, and there are topical (on the skin) formulations for head licejonny_quest_lives
- and skin conditions like rosacea. Ivermectin is not an anti-viral (a drug for treating viruses)."jonny_quest_lives
- https://www.the-scie…jonny_quest_lives
- "Further, the authors promoted their own specific ivermectin-based treatment which is inappropriate for a review article and against our editorial policies.jonny_quest_lives
- In our view, this paper does not offer an objective nor balanced scientific contribution to the evaluation of ivermectin as a potential treatment for COVID-19.”jonny_quest_lives
- we discussed all this back over a year ago in this threadkingsteven
- ... back when people were dying from taking the version prescribed to horses. obviously its just i discussion but a ton of conjecturekingsteven
- folks are robbing pharmacies and dying, WHO advises against it, youtube blocks ivermectin vids. mad ol' times, reactionary, not sure about conspiracy...kingsteven
- Let's wait for the links to the studies they mentioned. They wrote they will be posted ASAP.uan
- They claim it works as prophylactic and treatment. This means we have everything necessary to stop the pandemic worldwide in the next few month.uan
- @jonny_quest_lives, calm down. If you'd listened to the podcast and commented on the opinions in it then maybe you wouldn't be so quick to react in such ...Morning_star
- ...a flouncy way. It's measured and from experts in the field and it is worth a listen.Morning_star
- i wouldn't call it measured, in fact. it sounds like pierre's own handling of the situation has worked against him (from the article jonny shared)kingsteven
- and neither he or brett, who i usually enjoy... are experts in the field. hope there is some truth in it but i remain unconvincedkingsteven
- Hopefully the soon to be published studies will confirm the claims that Ivermectin IS effective in the treatment of Covid.Morning_star

"The origin of COVID: Did people or nature open Pandora’s box at Wuhan?
By Nicholas Wade | May 5, 2021"https://thebulletin.org/2021/05/…
"Virologists knew better than anyone the dangers of gain-of-function research. But the power to create new viruses, and the research funding obtainable by doing so, was too tempting. They pushed ahead with gain-of-function experiments. They lobbied against the moratorium imposed on Federal funding for gain-of-function research in 2014, and it was raised in 2017."

Is overall "air traffic" still relatively quiet in your neighborhood and or location since the pandemic all but shut down the airline industry? I'm now lucky to see and or hear a couple jets a day fly over my home, I used to see and or hear the jet planes about every two minutes regularly and now nothing.
- Yep I'm very close to an airport and it's much quieter. The main airline BMI was bought and pillaged by Virgin and the national routes are smaller prop planeskingsteven
- It's now serving more as a private test centre for folks flying out internationally (from other airports)kingsteven
- I never lived that close to a flight path to notice. Sounds shitty.monospaced
- It's still fairly quiet here in Orange County, CA. I'm in a helicopter flight path, though and it hasn't changedlemmy_k
- lived 4 miles away in the flight path for the same airport previously and it was bad, here its barely audible...kingsteven
- Its on the shore and surrounded by parks and forested areas so i just walk around the runway with the dog every day looking at flight radar and qbnkingsteven
- over at a friend's turdsday by our international airport. it was quite loud often. but that's a high traffic area.kaiyohtee
- The skies over LDN have been *much* quieter over the past year or so. I'm now annoyed when I hear the first 6am overflights, whereas beforeNairn
- that was like an early fucking alarm clockNairn
- (I'm nowhere near an airport, but I live on Airstrip One)Nairn
- Hah, Its it a bit nuts that the air traffic from London City is so loud up there when it takes as long as Heathrow or Stansted to get to on public transportkingsteven
- The flightpath we're under here in Norf Lahndan is for Heathrow, I think - it's more the holding pattern path, rather than direct to runway. Still noisy.Nairn
- it used to be departures from city would curve round before going north, that's what i always attributed the shouty ones too anyway, may be wrongkingsteven

I posted his videos over a year ago... he’s not 100% the oracle of wisdom, but he was pretty accurate during the early days of the global pandemic, and I’m glad I took his videos seriously. Masks, and how it spreads was 100%. His research on the virus origins while probably we’ll never be able to evidence it, was last year one of the first to question what the mass media dare not until recently.

A February 2021 research study that used ivermectin for prevention in 2020 found for nearly 4,000 India health care workers it “reduces the risk of COVID-19 infection by 83% in the following month. Safe, effective, and low-cost chemoprophylaxis have relevance in the containment of pandemic alongside vaccine.” What worked for healthcare workers could work for the general population. And a new comprehensive review of data concluded that ivermectin “should be globally and systematically deployed in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.” One of the authors stressed that by using ivermectin widely “we can end this pandemic once and for all,”

As early as July 2020 ivermectin was being shown to be beneficial:
- Thanks. I’ve been following the Ivermectin progress for some time and the recent successes in India, Eastern Europe, and South America confirm its efficacy.Morning_star

- China has been covering it up. Not sure that derping it up at wuhan lab counts as bio weapons, thoughGnash
- More about the people who denied it's existence switching their story... Is the most reputable theory on the manipulation still that it's AIDs vaccine research?kingsteven
- Beyond that sort of obvious manipulation it's impossible to prove and to pin the blame solely on the CCP makes it an effective rationalisation.kingsteven
- The government covering up a leak BECAUSE its an int'l funded programme to study viruses and they fucked it up... I'd almost rather idiots believe the bioweaponkingsteven
