USA has 4% of testing and 25% of cases. People with a political agenda will tell you this is because we are testing more. It’s untrue. Look at death numbers and this is simple to prove.
I just spent three days in the hospital and was not offered a covid test and was told “no” when I asked for one. This was at a good hospital, in NYC.
I said to my nurse, “well I suppose as long as you’re all tested regularly we should be ok.”
My nurse replied, “We don’t get tested either. Honey, if they gave everyone who worked here a regular covid test there would be nobody left working here.”

My friends run a surf hostel where I'm at in Mexico, I haven't been hanging out w/ them since this whole thing started, they don't wear masks & they've been giving me shit for it. well, I just got a message 20 minutes ago that a guest has the rona, I don't know what they did with him but they're disinfecting the hostel now. I love my friends but, they're not the sharpest tools in the shed.

An old lady from church was going to get tested. She registered signed up and got in line. Waited over two and half hours and said "got to go, time to leave" and left. Two days later she got a call from the testers and said she tested positive. SHE NEVER TOOK THE FUCKING TEST!
I smell scam. This is horrible taking advantage of old people like this and lying to them about their own health. That's pretty bad.

Both of my wife's parents tested positive last week after having some symptoms of a cold. My kids, wife and I were all in contact with them over Labor Day weekend when they supposedly contracted. We tested ourselves and the kids and are all negative. We have no idea how they got it and we didn't, since we were together pretty much all weekend at their time of contraction.
After one day, my father in law already shook it off completely. My mother in law only has slight cold symptoms but feels about 95% normal. Thankfully they're doing well. There has to be strains of this that vary in intensity. It's just crazy that some can be completely taken down and others just sniffle and walk it off.
Side note: That test swab was worse than I expected. They pretty much tickle your brain with an 8" Q-tip for 10 seconds. My kids were not a fan of it either as my daughter cried in fear for about 5 minutes before doing it. Word of advice: Have your kids go first so they don't panic when watching you.

My mother-in-law just tested positive and is feeling really bad. Father-in-law if feeling just as bad but doesn't want to get tested because he doesn't want to add to the statistics. This man was claiming it is a hoax a month ago. HE DOESN'T WANT TO ADD TO THE STATISTICS!!!! so basically the statistics are probably lower than reality because people don't want to get tested.
