- I don't have neck skin and chew gum 24/7. Actually think it helps with youth since using face mucles. Exercise is good********
- i read last night that chewing gum also helps reduce inflammation in sinuses because it contains anti-bacterial xylitol as sweetener.kingsteven
- Face workouts are a thing. They work somewhat. The japs are well into it and have devices etc.Phrenological

Had some really manic episodes of full blown rage recently. Awful. Still in lockdown here. Pretty much been in lockdown since march albeit a month long break in between. Nothing to complain about but it takes its toll. At least it's interesting to see how my mental state is reacting. Like a frustrated temper tantrum child. Complete lack of motivation like a teenager. And everything is just so dull and prickly like am coming down. Gross! :/
I blame China.
- i' get the same outbursts in the recent days, despite the fucking lot of things to do. let's drain the tension by beating each other to death, i'm in frankston.sted
- been out of lockdown for a while but not done anything but go down to see my folks once. rumours flying around that we're going back in to lockdown mid sept.kingsteven

Today is my first day back to work in-person today. We were sent home March 13 and told to take our personal items with us.
I am less than jazzed to return.
Keeping both older kids home doing remote learning (ages 10 and 15). I’m not worried about them in the least, if anything I wish I too were remote.
Audible ‘ugh’. Wish me luck.

Had a video game idea that I thought might be great or terrible (my mind constantly switching between the two). So I made a 17 page pdf in about four days while on vacation.
I then asked by email our company owner and our creative director about how one could pitch the idea, and if it was alright to do so. Sure thing send a pdf, they replied and so I did.
Had a meeting with the creative director the other day who was very positive and said this clearly would be a fun game mechanic and unlike anything he had seen before. He didn't really dig the world setting though, so now I'm making version 2.0 of the document.
Doubt it will ever be realised, but its been fun doing, and I think it kinda caught them off guard as I'm just a UI guy in the company :D
- That's completely normal that you can question the idea, and build conclusions pro-con. But please be careful sharing these ideas, especially@ a workplace.sted
- Where you don't have any financial interest or stakeholder position. You're on the right path and it doesn't matter if you have to write a 4.0 version of thatsted
- doc until it moves towards a feasible concept.sted
- Yeah what Sted said. If you have a good idea that you think can make money, approach a dev friend and talk about doing it in spare time!microkorg
- I did weigh in the whole "I can get screwed over" but decided what the hell. I would have zero possibility to do it on my own.Nutter
- Nah i'm not talking about that you should think about that anybody wants to screw you over, just be smartsted
- about within what framework can you run this project at your workplace.sted
- For example I had an idea in 2006, but I quit that place before it was executed because I didn't wanted to work on one project for the rest of my life.sted
- ah right sted, I will, thanks :)Nutter
- And our agreement was that until they sell the company I will get a fixed sum in a form of royalties.sted

MAGA father-in-law comes by to visit. My skunks are on the porch, happily eating. Of course he freaks out and starts harassing them (because that’s how you treat animals). Dumbass gets himself sprayed by all four babies, then comes INSIDE MY HOUSE and tracks it everywhere.
I swear to god; given a choice between making a sensible decision and sticking your dick in a blender some people will choose the blender every single time

So im interviewing for a new job and i get the classic 'take home' test. I do the work and get a quick response back asking for design changes? lol Never got this one before.
Always thought you'd just have to defend your work during the next interview if you make questionable decisions. Maybe I should have water marked the hell out of the work.
Anyway, wish me luck!
- Knock ‘em dead!scarabin

I am very disappointed by y'alls contributions to Picture Association. I expected a less on-the-nose, more refined take coming from a group of designers.

Do you learn anything at your job?
Is it fun?
Is it a drag?Or do you just go in, work, take money, go home and have as much fun in the evenings as you can?
¼ my day is emails and sometimes pointless meetings.
¼ is finding things on server and emailing it to the correct person or helping boss find things.
¼ is doing boring routine design and converting things to jpg or gif.
¼ is killing time online- Sounds like a rut. I have had jobs like you are describing.DRIFTMONKEY
- Sounds perfect. I can pixelwank at homescarabin

- "have as much fun in the evenings as you can" sound like a ideal work/life to meOBBTKN
- Now srly, looks like you're tired of working in an agency alike co., try the exciting world of freelancing for a time, and after this, decide what's better...OBBTKN
- sounds like every job if you are devoid of imagination. automate tasks, implement systems, train people to use them, make games of menial tasks.kingsteven
- yeah boring people are bored. sounds like you took the wrong path bud. buck up.ben_
- Why on earth did people downvote this post? The voting system here makes no goddamn sensescarabin
- I feel like I'm evolving and learning at work, just at a leisurely pace. I "own" my projects and it's deadline based with teams. I can "kill time" when I wantmonospaced
- My bosses are extremely hands off and haven't (micro)managed any of my work in years. I'm trusted, so I do far less explaining in email than others do.monospaced
- Workload is a bit lower these days, so I can spend 1/4 of my day cooking, cleaning and parenting, which are now part of my "day job" post coronavirus.monospaced
- I care deeply about my team and role, but ultimately now I take money and clock out ASAP every day to have as much fun in the evenings as possible.monospaced
