one of my favorite parts of deathby's freedom of speech on qbn is my freedom to ignore his responses. he shits all over my posts, giving them ranking where more eyes see his racist and separatist ways.
i couldn't be happier his attempts to communicate with me are overlooked by myself, however seen by others as further evidence his presence on this forum, at a minimum, is a waste and his viewpoints, which are at best "offensive", are not tolerated or agreed upon by the majority.
as many others have stated before, qbn is a good place. usually objective perspectives with a humanitarian goal in mind, great sources of artistic inspiration, and the occasional industry thread to remind us what brought us here in the first place.
recent events have strained us worldwide. to see a forum of hard-headed, creative individuals remain cohesive through it all continues to put a smile on my face.

I love this community with its diversity of opinions. It has helped me alot personally to grow and push through losses and darker aspects of my life through personal losses. It helped me grow strong. I need to sleep, but there is so much going on right now what makes it impossible.
My two business partners were n/a in the last three weeks for various reasons. I wasn't be able to travel back to Hungary as it was planed for my birthday. One of our long time clients wants to cut hourly rates. The stocks (including tealdoc) i invested in are falling af. since monday. Meanwhile my home country is turned into a real fascist nightmare, just like before WW2. The culture which I looked at as an example is falling apart and deathboy is still unable summarizes his thoughts in one note on qbn.
on the other side:
I meet this girl two weeks ago and we locked ourselves in the house for 4 days with 3-4 hours of sleep for both of us. My body is still shaking, but I feel great and motivated. Two developers just quit the other day because they want to move to AI dev, but they don't know hey did a really big favor with that.life is great!

Trying to decide on something new for creative hobbies:
Fuji 50-230mm zoom lens (my longest lens these days is a 50mm prime). This would be a nice and cheap addition to my lens lineup, and we’ve got some wildlife areas near us full of birds and the occasional deer.
A Mavic Air 2 drone. Never flown one before and have gotten more and more interested in them, but afraid it would just collect dust, as most good opportunities to use one are a drive from my house in forest preserves and surrounding lakes and ponds. Could be fun in the winter after snowfalls, be an excuse to get out and do some more hiking. Interested in doing more video for my music project, so it could be fun.
Any of you have drones and if so how often / how little do they get used? The mavic air 2 is appealing because they sell them at the Apple store, and I’ve got an Apple / Barclays card with no interest financing for the first year.

My favourite charity shop on [local street] has shut down :(
Presumably because of C19, and also because that area's slipping up market a little. Local businesses are using relief funding to all up their game. All good.
The reason that it's - was - my favourite Charity Shop is that there's someone there who regularly drops off decent sci-fi books. I've been hoovering them up every three weeks that s/he drops off or so for a year and a half now.
I hope I get to find where s/he next donates to.
