I watched this over the weekend.
Kinda bummed me out thinking about how we give up our so-called free will to technology. Almost like we're doing it now without question. Even though the interviewer was a bit useless, Yuval was as good as ever.

Just finished talking with an editor who would be willing to publish my comic, I only need to prepare and send the script, sketched pages and a finished page by March 15, and wait the gov pays part of the costs (I'll know their decision by April)... wish me luck!! I'm going to need it

Pollen is 800% above normal for this season here in Copenhagen. Severe migraine. No energy. Depressed. Tinnitus. Eyes water. Nose plugged up. Apparently, climate change will make pollen season longer and more intense in the future.
Ugh.

- He'd spammed the shit out of it. So it might still be reading those posts that had been cleared? Just a guess though.thumb_screws

I want to delete my pictures from Amazon Photos service, I uploaded thousands of pictures over there. Well, thanks Amazon, it's impossible to mass delete them. You need to click day by day.... I have picture from 1997 to 2018 and like 2000+ undated wich needs to be selected one by one!
That means my pics are stuck there forever. Or maybe I'd need to close my Amazon account.. even there they'll probably keep everything on the server for eternity 'till the next data breach.
Fuck that shit

Bennnnnn, Third search result for your problem yields:
https://www.amazonforum.com/foru…
"If you want to delete them all forever, you can also login to Amazon Drive (www.amazon.com/clouddrive) and in the search bar, just type "jpg" which will filter out all the files with that in the name or extension. Then you can select the checkbox at the row header to select all, and then Move to Trash."

I don't understand Twitch or how people can make a lot of money playing video games.

- Watching people play video games has nothing to do with loneliness. I am not remotely lonely, but I like watching people play on YouTube and Twitch.monospaced
- I had to go to friends' houses to play games as a kid, so I spent most of my time observing, and never got good enough to compete myself. So maybe that's why?monospaced

15 years ago (about the time I joined QBN) I'd have to sneak around to meet a friend or a low grade dealer to score a touch of shitty schwaggy weed... I'd have to be careful about the language used in a simple text message when requesting a reup.
However... nowadays... just got this text from my dispensary:
"Buy 3 eighths of select strains & get 20% OFF thru March 2! 500mg Colors vapes available for $29!"
followed by...
"2 days left! Buy an exclusive Select Chocolope cartridge and be entered to WIN a $2K Sedona vacation!"
If you had asked me 15 years ago if my 'drug dealer' was going to compete for my patronage let alone send me on a fucking vacation I'd of said "you must be smoking something"... :P

Thursday’s crush me. Get up at 6am to get to work in time to Teach a 4 hour class at 10.. 2 hour break in which I then need to have lunch and do all the readings for the next 4 hour class which I am a participant until 8pm..
10 hours of Uni in one day is fucked.
UNSW.. making uni as uncomfortable as possible so they are can squeeze more students in to make more money. So much fail

anyone aware of some exploit in chrome or safari?
i was phoned up by some scumbag indian bloke today pretending to be from bt, saying my broadband was insecure. he was most keen i open up chrome or safari on my phone or ipad, and when i told him i only used firefox he rang off.
that might also have been because he -finally- realised i was just egging him on to waste his time while i read the paper
- Perhaps they have some [unsigned] chrome app they've made that they wanted you to install [direct from their site] to 'check the problem'?Nairn
- Chrome's ostensibly 'the most secure browser' so I doubt it's some innate exploit they were looking to take advantage of.Nairn
- ...also, those two browsers are the most likely to be affiliated with some credit card-linked account, which they can perhaps leak microtransactions from?Nairn

Never been a photographer but here are some test shots of detail, color and wb. Had to do it in two days for a 10 set. Although having no eBay or PayPal at where I'm, still bothers me.
How does one get a gig for product photography, should I continue working at it, get more into lighting and creative splash shots etc, and start asking around shops if there are interested?
- I'd work on your shadows before trying to get a product shot gig - also, from the friends I have who do it, you need to be VERY quick more than very good.Nairn
- ^ aha. Great advice, and yep, I thought about masking all and creating new vector shadows. They tend to look nicer and softer.helloeatbreathedrive
- @Naim, do you think it's an hourly thing or based on how many sets you complete in a certain amount of time and deliver as instructed?helloeatbreathedrive
- Not sure - I suspect it's more of a "we need x items shooting to fill the catalogue in y days - can you do it for £z?"Nairn
- This is a part of the photopgraphy game that unfortunately is price driven. Because it's usually volume based any brand (FMCG/Fashion) is likely to require...Morning_star
- ...50-100 finished shots per day and wil be charged in a per product basis. We do a lot of sports wear/ home ware photography and we have an automated camera...Morning_star
- ...and lighting system. It's set up once by the photography/art director and then the products are shot by someone that can press a button.Morning_star
- ^ thx @morning_star. i need to improve and experiment. then, i m going after boutique shopshelloeatbreathedrive
- @Nairn much appreciated man.helloeatbreathedrive

^ (didn't fit in a note:)
There's a photo studio here and the amount of organisation they have to get everything on site (all the products, any models, creative stand-bys and a director or manager to be on-site for oversight, whatever) for a day's shoot makes me think THAT is the client's over-riding concern - the basic organisation and turnaround. If you're capable and can be relied-upon to get everything done in the allotted time, great.
Not being able to complete on time means a headfuck of logistics and extra cost to extend all of the above.
- i reckon it must be soul destroying - utter churn. i watched some poor sap at the packshot factory whose job was just to add clipping masks. all day, everyday.hans_glib
- he looked utter empty. (this could have been my interpretation of his 1000yd stare tho, thinking what i'd be like if i had to do that job).hans_glib
- Ah! Two of the friends I alluded to above started off with Packshot, over in Camden!
Yeah, a lot of the work schedules are Brutal.Nairn - At one of my lower ebbs a decade or so ago, I must admit I offered to do some of that clipping work. Thankfully things picked up a bit after that... :\Nairn
