anyone aware of some exploit in chrome or safari?
i was phoned up by some scumbag indian bloke today pretending to be from bt, saying my broadband was insecure. he was most keen i open up chrome or safari on my phone or ipad, and when i told him i only used firefox he rang off.
that might also have been because he -finally- realised i was just egging him on to waste his time while i read the paper
- Perhaps they have some [unsigned] chrome app they've made that they wanted you to install [direct from their site] to 'check the problem'?Nairn
- Chrome's ostensibly 'the most secure browser' so I doubt it's some innate exploit they were looking to take advantage of.Nairn
- ...also, those two browsers are the most likely to be affiliated with some credit card-linked account, which they can perhaps leak microtransactions from?Nairn
