I got a job offer on January 11th to be a mentor at Thinkful.
I've signed the documents and 5 emails later I still haven't heard from them to this date.I have no clue about what the next steps are, they haven't walk me through the curriculum and I don't know how they match teachers with students. The dates were also wrong in the paperwork, they all said 2018 (they clearly use a template).
I even tried reaching out to the head of the dept. through Linkedin and still nothing. I am in the process of seeking legal advice. You simply don't offer someone a job and leave them hanging like that. WTF?!
What would you recommend? What type of lawyer should I talk to?

Should I sell my MacBook from mid-2007?
I have everything set to put it online but......but it was my first Mac and nobody will give me more than 70€ for it.
I've been using it with an extra keyboard cause the keyboard is not working properly anymore.
I basically use it to play Dj Angelo's and other scratch tutorials and test stuff in other OS like:
Mac OS 9 (Emulated)
Windows XP (VirtualBox)
Elementary OS (Linux)My initial idea was to keep it to make music, I have it connected to my Mixer, but if I start doing so it will start to shit itself for sure despite having 4GB...I know, I know...
Besides I would need definitely to buy a new keyboard for it and it'll cost me around 40 bucks.
But I have like three laptops so...I actually tend to reuse and recycle stuff to the max.
Damn decisions...

- LA you can probably find some good deals in Venice (like condos) or if you hunt for a solid hotel as long as it's not Santa Monica as they are super expensive.Boz

so I code and design and love being creative and building shit but there is nothing more soul killing and uninspiring than doing some presentation decks for investments. I do it because of my friends but my god this thing killed me today. From 5:30am up until like an hour and a half ago. I need 2 days off just to get back to normal. I don't get how some people can do that all day long every day. My god I would off myself after a week.

My Macbook pro died. And I'm broke.
I borrowed an extremely cheap, extremely plastic'y Lenovo Ideapad 100 laptop (RRP: $299.-). I connected it to my external monitor & sound card. Installed PS, AI, ID and Ableton Live, plus whatever else i usually use.
And it runs everything... very well. Like, i don't know the difference. I'm doing design work and I compose music, just like before.

Makes me think. Do i need a $4000 laptop? Like, could i be perfectly happy with a $1000-$1500 one?
