If the entire planet just stayed indoors for 4 weeks, we'd be fine.

60% of people being admitted to hospital with coronavirus have been double-jabbed
... most regions of England now have more coronavirus patients in hospital than at any point since mid-March
- Odd. Most if not all hospitalised covid patients are not vaccinated, in many places.
Also Pfizer and Moderna results say they hold well against the deltagrafician - Ah wait, many in the UK got shot with AZ so yeah...grafician

Why is the QOP all of a sudden pushing for people to get vaccinated? Not trying to be the tinfoil hat guy, but is something happening that hasn't been reported yet? It's weird.
- Because people aren’t vaccinated. Why is this so hard to grasp that you think it’s weird? The entire medical world wants a majority vaccinated for good reason.monospaced
- we're just doing this lockdown shit until people get vaccinated, it makes no sense otherwise ffskingsteven
- Mono, the GOP and Fox have not been pushing for people to get vaccinated.. until now.mathinc
- Did they just now realize that ~95% of the people who die from here on out will be their own un-vaccinated voters?mathinc

Update: I tested negative. I still have a small cough but its resolved itself to an allergy level annoyance. I cannot explain the relief. But, I'm definitely masking up again.

Just had second jab. At a pharmacy. I think it might've been guy's first day. He jabbed a mostly-empty bottle twice, then squirted a single drop into a bin and used the same needle to jab another bottle twice, before jabbing me. Suffice to say it was like being injected with a mortadella rather than an ultra-sharp needle. Now have pins and needles up and down arm. Expect to be dead before the day is out.
- Cunts wouldn't let me have Pfizer instead of second AZ. Like THEY'd know any better than me. <ferrel>IDIOTS!</ferrel>Nairn
- I had my first jab at a pharmacy. I had to roll up my t-shirt sleeve, which tightened it around my shoulder and built up blood pressure in my armdrgs
- I bled quite a bit, blood spilled on my shorts etc, the girl who did the injection got scareddrgs
- did you take aspirin first? Sounds like thin blood if you're bleeding that muchmonospaced
- I did not take any blood thinners. Let's see if the same happens after 2nd shot (September)drgs
- It shouldn't do that from a muscle jab, no? Why is your blood trying to escape you? What did you do to it?Nairn
- My first jab barely a droplet. But I took aspirin before my second shot in anticipation of the aches. And I was a bleeder on that one. :)monospaced

Biontech vaccine: booster likely to be needed
Biontech and Pfizer anticipate a decline in the protective efficacy of their CoV vaccine. According to data from the Israeli Ministry of Health, the protective efficacy against infections and symptomatic disease declines six months after the second vaccination. A third dose within six to 12 months would likely be needed.
Shortly after Pfizer and Biontech's statement, a release from the FDA and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) circulated by U.S. media on Thursday said Americans who are fully vaccinated do not currently need a booster shot. (for now )
French President Emmanuel Macron went a step further last week, announcing booster vaccinations starting in September for at-risk groups vaccinated early this year. His scientific advisors pointed to initial studies showing that older people not only form fewer antibodies than young people, but that these also decline more quickly.
- It will end with a shot every month or else you will not have any antibody at all.
That sounds like an excellent business model. Life As A Service...cool !gonzalle - Shit, tons of people have been vaxxed for 6mos alreadynb
- I wonder what the natural antibodies Vs vaccine antibodies success rate is_niko

"New Covid variant under investigation in the UK, PHE says"
https://www.independent.co.uk/ne…
UK gave us two variants in under a year, tippy very top!
- The UK has amongst the best and most comprehensive strain testing and analysis on the planet, so will obviously find more than everyone else.Nairn
- Also, B.1.621 is from fucking Colombia.Nairn
- How come the entire fucking Europe hasn't gave you guys any kind of variant back?grafician
- The Indie is a poisonous, UK-loathing paper, with an agenda thoroughly designed to attract people such as yourself, grafician.Nairn
- A shame for me as it was my newspaper (along with the Guardian on a saturday) for a decade or more, a decade or more ago.Nairn
- You have, including the original clusterfuck in the Alps, but as I say - Euro countries don't test as much and massage their figures anyway.Nairn
- What kind of agenda Nairn? Facts are facts mate.grafician
- Sorry, not 'test' - 'analyse'Nairn
- Ok, so the indie didn't report that the variant you're bleating about isn't from the UK. Facts aren't always.Nairn
- whoops - "facts aren't always entirely factual."Nairn
- Your continued obsession with trying to get the knife in to the UK is.. interesting. I'm unsure where it stems from, but I'm sure you have your reasons.Nairn
- Well here we have like 40 or so cases on over 20K tests. While UK has over 30K cases of the Delta already LOL
Keep up the good work lads!grafician - How is the UK Gov busy cutting Arts funding instead of handling the pandemic? That in itself is rather nuts.
Oh well...grafician - And there it is again. I hope you have a warm feeling of contented success inside.Nairn
- You also don't need to act all defensive Nairn, nobody is blaming you for anything.
Just saying the UK is pretty fucked right now.grafician - I don't think it is.
It's not absolutely wonderful, but then it rarely is.Nairn - Also just read your rather grotesque experience with the second jab below Nairn, get well soon mate!grafician
