Does this give you Typekit fonts for free? If so (and maybe that doesn't matter) what happens if you use those fonts in a client project, and ever cancel your subscription? What would happen?
- sbcrptn ends = "...desktop fonts from Typekit will be removed"prophetone
- if you need certain ones afterward you need to buy ind. licences from type foundryprophetone
- "Typekit Terms of Use do not allow copying of font data that has been synced to your desktop computer."prophetone
- the end.prophetone
- yeah, this is why I have a sesperate typekit account... tried this out last night tho and it's pretty handy.kingsteven
- only a small selection of fonts enabled for desktop ATM tho.kingsteven
- You can use any typeset typeface for free in any website you build with their tools, as far as I can tell.monospaced

Is Captivate not part of CC?

so how many of you subscribe to CC?
and all moral and legal discussion aside, have you or anyone you know successfully cracked it and got it running for free?
- I subscribe to the pos rip off motherfucking cunt of a pos rip off motherfucker.
i know someone who uses a cracked torrented version.detritus - I subscribe. You can install it on up to two computers (work & home). I absolutely love it.kona
- And no offense, but it's like $40 a month and we're not in college anymore. You should be able to pony up. :)kona
- yeah its cheap as fuck now considering all the tools we getmoldero
- the cost is inconsequential, but is still a rip off. I don't need every 'version', and yet I am now tied to an annual release cycle with no perceivable benefit.detritus
- yeah i subscribed last month for several reasons but have been wondering if it's actually helped stop any pirating of their softwarescarabin
- Also, UK rates are above what you guys pay. I pay about $60 for Two Apps. Not the full suite.detritus
- I pirated for decades till CC came out, pretty smart of themmoldero
- main reason is i always seem to be on ancient versions and feel left behind in terms of current featuresscarabin
- i like that i'm always current nowscarabin
- yeah that + the fixed glitches/bugsmoldero
- I only have it because my clients send me files in newer versions, and it's often a pita to convert/ask for re-sends. All *my* stuff I can do with CS2. (illy)detritus
- when a client sent me a file I couldn't open because their version of the file was newer was the straw that broke the camels back for memoldero
- pinch poke you owe me a coke det!moldero
- yeah that happened at my old agency ALL the time because they wouldn't update our software. embarrassing when your clients are more current than you arescarabin
- haha yupmoldero
- When CC first came out, I pirated it - it is insultingly easy to crack on OSX. Binned it because of performance issues, but now I subscribe to the PS/LR tier.face_melter
- second' detritusbklyndroobeki
- I use PS heavily, going legit meant that I could easily sync my settings/brushes/ass... between home and work, plus the B*HnCe account is handy.face_melter
- i finally bought the subscription. mostly because it's kind of an ass to pirate it and i don't have the time or patience to.jaylarson
- and lightroom collections can be synched onto an ipad—and you need the subscription to pull that off. maybe if jailbroke, but i'm lazy.jaylarson
- I pay around £45 a month in the UK which in my book is so fucking cheap for all those apps - you gotta be a monkey to complain at that price.fadein11
- I subscribe. Very clever of Adobe. Cheap enough to suck you in and switch to legit. It's £540 a year. They must be raking it in...monoboy
- ...but they are the tools we use to make a living, so damn right you should pay.monoboy
- I owe adobe so much money... thought i should at least pay something lolpango
- i subscribed becuz that make me feel important. i'm like in a club.Ben99
- It's 2015...pay for the software that you use. Quit being a dickhead.sublocked
- My old work paid for it, and I still use it.
With exchange rate at the moment, I wouldn't pay personally for it, so glad it's on the tab.meffid - i always thought typekit was a great perk toojaylarson
- i'm guessing i should mention again that i joined last monthscarabin
- Like moldero, nicked it for years but subscribed to CC. So far, so legal. Sucked in...MrT
- i joined a while back and it's nice not to have to worry about getting the newest version every timejuanluisgarcia
- If you have a university email, you can get the student discount. loldorkKn1ght
- I subscribe to the pos rip off motherfucking cunt of a pos rip off motherfucker.

My issue is that you should be able to install it on more than 2 computers as long as they are both not logged in to the same account at once. I know plenty of people who have office computer, laptop and home desktop.
- +moldero
- As far as I can tell you can do this. we run the same version on 4 computers at our office. each time one of us logs in the others are logged outakiersky
- but it doesn't kick the others out, they just need to log in next time the open an appakiersky
- Oh, good to know. we asked them and they said if you wanted more than 2 computers per account you need another license, which is stupid.ArmandoEstrada
- yeah i read that too Armandomoldero
- the full collection without the stock photos is US $50.CyBrainX
- prophetone1
- Well, if Mel Brooks can make a Godzilla movie, get me the new After Effects.CyBrainX

Do any of you use CC on a 2011 (or older) MacBook Pro? I'm on CC at work on a Mac Pro, but I'm still on CS5 at home and my computer is about 4 years old. Thinking about upgrading but not sure if I should wait til I get a new computer and just use CS5 til then.
Thoughts?
- i use it on a late 2009 27" imac. 16gb ram. 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Runs decent. no major issues.jaylarson
- my video card is out dated though.jaylarson
- Good to know. Sounds like it should work fine then. CS5 takes forever to load, save, etc. Hoping CC would speed things up a bit.CincodeMayo
- it may. i wasn't too worried about speed. i'm on an old machine. as long as it doesn't crash or glitch out, i'm good.jaylarson
- CC 2015 runs a bit better than CC 2014 on both my 2010 Mac Pro towers with 5870 GPUs and SSD boot drives. If you don't have an SSD that's the slowdown.evilpeacock

Looks like PS finally got Glyphs!
- jaylarson0
- You may be laughing at all us suckers who downloaded right away and now have to use a product with a bunch of shitty bugs :)lvl_13
- i heard that if you don't uncheck a box, it will remove all old versions. sounds nasty.jaylarson
- That's not the case here.monospaced
- well finally. 2014 update duplicated all apps. Have to manually uninstall each one. annoyingdeathboy
- just needed to tidy up the reinstall. i'm holding off a bit on lightroom, but my finger is really itchy. that new dehaze feature looks useful.jaylarson
- lvl_130
Adobe preview on the phone and with cc2015 is pretty damn sweet...so far at least.
- lvl_130
just to reiterate what Armando had said earlier: why can we not use this on more than 2 work stations. people here mentioned that it works on more than 2 laptops/desktops as long as they aren't all logged in at the same time. How? I literally just got a new laptop for home (in addition to my home work machine and my work machine) and it won't even let me download any of the apps.
Serious question. I'm paying for the service, but am running into issues using more than 2 work stations :\
- you may need to direct download the apps on the additional computers: http://prodesigntool…akiersky

Illustrator's Zoom Tool is now permanently set to "Scrubby Zoom." At least I can't find an option to set it any other way. Orrr it was already this way and I'm just losing my mind...
- Hate the scrubantimotion
- If anyone here figures out how to reset...BrokenHD
- i've started to love the scrubby zoom.jaylarson
- I can see its benefit. I really tried to like it. I just work faster dragging a square around what i wanna see and instantly being there.BrokenHD
- and i can click/drag and not worry about accidentally flying 20 miles away from my work. ha. (scubzoomnoob)BrokenHD
- fourth0
I don't rely on Adobe products as much anymore (after moving to antetype/sketch).
The ONLY app I use regularly is Illustrator. While I appreciate some of the improvements WHY TAKE AWAY THE MARQUEE SELECTION FOR ZOOMING???
- BrokenHD1
@fourth @antimotion, figured it out!
Preferences > GPU Performance > Animated Zoom | un-✓ that shit

How to use Adobe CC.
1. You get 5 free web hosting packages with it.
2. Charge those 5 clients £7-10 a month and host them on business catalyst.
3. Adobe CC payed for, nobody gets hurt and nobody gets burnt... tada!
- Or pull in at least $50 a month in work. Whatever's easiest ;)monospaced
- i like this.BrokenHD
- lol, mono.Gnash

Does anyone feel all the programs take longer to launch with the new update?
- Chimp0
I wish Adobe would just produce a program especially aimed at web design rather than adding to an already bloated photo editing tool.
- I shall have to spend some time learning SketchChimp
- Like dreamweaver or muse? Or fireworks?monospaced
- or edge reflow? or muse? or???monNom
- sketch is good, I prefer antetypefourth
