- ^ yup same heremoldero
- Not happening for me...MrT
- nah, but I get something similar on premiere where the line is drawn 1 frame to the right of where it actually is.zarkonite

Anyone know how to place a video into a InDesign document (standard A4 interactive magazine) from YouTube? It keeps trying to convert it to Flash and fucks up.
(This is something somebody else in our studio is trying to do and I can't be arsed to look at it today!)

- Not embed, stream. Sorry.Ianbolton
- Has to be a flash file. You can't embed yt.Hayoth

WHYYYY are 2 vers' of Adobe Illustrator/PS open? D:
- Probably because you have two diff versions installed.monospaced
- you may have certain raster files set to open in C6 (or whatever other version of PS you have installed) by defaultPonyBoy
- Weird shit. The menu bar CC app is telling me to install the latest versions but I have them all. At least with cracked versions I knew where I was!MrT
- Two 2015 CC? I have application manager.bklyndroobeki
- deathboy0
Fuck. Illustrator 2015 runs like shit. Everything up to date and still sucks. Also laggy as fuck when copying a simple shape to indesign. Takes like 20 seconds. Tried turning off GPU support and still laggy. And shape builder spam.... Illustrator CS5 works like a fuckin champ though.
- < often crashes InD when pasting from Illy, for meGnash
- at least I don't have that. i just have a lag for a square or a complex vector. does crash more. just gets laggy and laggier than wrecks.deathboy
- place guys, place into InDesignmonospaced
- i thought it was buggy GPU acceleration but buggy without it. runs buggy on two machines different hardware... sighdeathboy
- ^ mono is right, of course. never pays to cut cornersGnash
- oh yea for sure place complex objects. but a friggen talk bubble? nope.deathboy
- agreed, it shouldn't shit the bed on the small thingsmonospaced
- AI crashes every 20 minutes regularly for me. I'm drawing boxes over here lol nothing complex either.dorkKn1ght
- It does suck, I go back to CS6 for anything large. Is this like Office 365 that keeps trying to sync (even though it's saved locally) and slows everything downformed
- There's some law in software that every good product will eventually be destroyed by adding features.monNom

I really hate Adobe for their prices. Can't believe I'm sending them 925$/years
- yep. i'm back to CS5, tried and true.bklyndroobeki
- You must have a crappy return for your $925/year. That number is puny in comparison to the many $thousands I make back in comparison. $925=very reasonable.PonyBoy
- CS5 4 LIFEnb
- bklyndroobeki1
^ And you're probably only using 20%
- Bennn2
Adobe CC has 7,000,000 paying customers (march 2016 numbers)
925$ X 7,000,000 = 6 475 000 000$/year
To sell virtual products (softwares), not for building physical objects. Thats a looooots of profits.
- are you saying this is bad? so many 'o's' in the word 'lots' has me thinking you don't like the idea of these profits? (or are you just making a statement?)PonyBoy
- they should start making the subscriptions cheaper by now...according to 'new economy' principles. let's hope their managers are new school.uan
- I fear they won't. Seeing how they are recoding their products and how much glitches they introduce with the new code, reminiscent to the AS2 to AS3 fiasco.uan
- AS3 fiasco? AS3 was far better than AS2 - just harder to learn if you didn't know javascript.fadein11
- what's the issue with non-physical products - software takes longer to make?fadein11
- How many of those customers are solely on the Photoshop/Lightroom package?face_melter
- I think they're software subscription is a great deal. It's like a dollar something a day for something that I use non-stop and makes moneys from.fyoucher1
- moneys...fyoucher1

- Whereas I feel it's a complete rip off—I use 'the same Illustrator' I did 10 years ago, but need to maintain an update cycle because of file incompatabilities.detritus
- Also, I don't think you guys in the States appreciatethe markup we have to suffer across teh rest ofthe world. Shit really ain't a deal.detritus
- Which reminds me, I've still not received an invite to the Affinity Windows Beta trial :(detritus
- Also, CC is buggy and doesn't house clean properly - I have to empty my SSD boot drive of random temp files every n months because it gets filled with shit.detritus
- CC locks you into a subsc. model, whereas beforehand you could skip an iteration or two without much productivity loss = extra £200 per cycle for professionalsdetritus
- ...per PRODUCT (using Illustrator or Photoshop as an example). For me, that's an extra £400 over three years. For what?detritus

What a joke. Trying to go legit and buy CC --- the adobe website does not work. Just goes blank white when press "buy now" in both safari and chrome.
- Sounds like bs but call them up. Thats what I did when setting up my CC.
I had to cleanup my Adobe account, make sure everything was updated and so forth...sofakingback - Cant remember if I had browser issues.sofakingback

premiere's updates are pretty sweet!
still no match for Davinci Resolve in the Color Grading area, but they're getting close.

I miss playing in vector. I wish i could get Illustrator for 9.99 more. I pay 9.99 a month for PS and that is all i really need. Doesn't make sense to pay $50 a month for everything.
- HijoDMaite1
Had the Full CC student edition since 2013 paying $19.99. Just noticed my payment went up to $29.99 I called and the guy canceled my account then brought it back at $19.99 per mo.
Asked about the photog version for $9.99 and he said sure, but I decided to keep the complete version for $19.99
i am getting a good deal right? I mean I'm stuck paying 20 bucks a month for the rest of my life but oh well.
- yes, that's a great deal... non-student price is $49.99 / monthmonospaced
- shit, that student deal is pretty sweetmoldero
- You can't produce commercial work on a student account.Hayoth
- how does that work anyway? is selling photo prints technically an issue? has anyone been flagged for this?HijoDMaite
- If you're using Adobe to create or manipulate content and selling then you're violating toc. Not saying you'll get bustedHayoth
- please. He's violating it already since he's not a studentmonospaced
- i told the guy i didn't have a .edu address anymore and he said it's fine to just put in my gmail address.HijoDMaite
- You are still violating the terms (clearly). You might read up on that is you are using it fulltime, for profitformed

I contacted Adobe 2 or 3 months ago and i started crying that CC is way too very expensive and they gave me half-price for a year.
- oey0
So this deal makes HijoDMaite still officially a student?
Maybe you can use the Adobe CC subscription for benefits in other areas as well.
- face_melter3
Oh God. Adobe actually do something that is useful to me instead of adding more shitty toys - they turned the layer selection colour in Photoshop to red whenever you enter Quickmask mode.

collecting files is a nightmare
- inteliboy0
Does Photoshop have a film-grain filter? Can't find it and get the feeling it doesn't. Pain in the ass to have to import in and out of Lightroom....
