There's a first time for everything... started an OS update on my Mac Mini M4 and the firmware went berserk. Flashing orange light on the front, won't start up. Never had this happen before.
Fortunately I have an M3 Macbook Air that I can connect with the Configurator app to try and revive the firmware. If I have to restore and reset the computer, it's not the end of the world, but hope I can avoid that. I have a Time Machine backup from late April, and pretty much everything I do on it is stored on either an external drive or my NAS at home.
Still trying to download the firmware update, it's taking forever.

Where the heck has Automator been all my Mac using life?
I need to move some stuff out of iCloud to free up space, and that's mostly going to be videos. But if I just export them and move them from my computer to my NAS, it doesn't retain the created on date, so, if I use synology Photos to view videos and such, they're not properly organized by year and that sucks.
Used ChatGPT to write an automator script and run it as an application where I simply drag and drop the folder of exported photos on my computer, and it moves to the NAS, it sets up subfolders for year if they don't exist, writes a log file, and confirms when the move is done. Created on date stays intact and videos appear in the timeline where they should.
Need to see what else I can use this for. Any of you use it?
