Where the heck has Automator been all my Mac using life?
I need to move some stuff out of iCloud to free up space, and that's mostly going to be videos. But if I just export them and move them from my computer to my NAS, it doesn't retain the created on date, so, if I use synology Photos to view videos and such, they're not properly organized by year and that sucks.
Used ChatGPT to write an automator script and run it as an application where I simply drag and drop the folder of exported photos on my computer, and it moves to the NAS, it sets up subfolders for year if they don't exist, writes a log file, and confirms when the move is done. Created on date stays intact and videos appear in the timeline where they should.
Need to see what else I can use this for. Any of you use it?
