The Leaders Debate Poll: Which broadcaster gets your vote? - ITV, SKY or BBC?
    http://blog.katapult-studios.com…

There has been months of preperation into the first televised political debate, with each of the three broadcasters taking a slightly different approach. With the candiates having polls which rate their performed, I felt it only fair the the same should be done for the three broadcasters.

Ariz. faces boycott calls over new law

Arizona is facing a backlash over its new law cracking down on illegal immigrants, with opponents pushing for a tourism boycott like the one that was used to punish the state 20 years ago for its refusal to honor the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. with a holiday. By the time voters finally passed a holiday bill two years later, estimates of lost convention business in the Phoenix area alone topped $190 million.

"The goal is to as quickly as possible bring to a shocking stop the economy of Arizona," former state senator Alfredo Gutierrez said Friday as a coalition called Boycott Arizona announced its formation.

Groups have called on people not to fly Tempe-based US Airways or rent trucks from Phoenix-based U-Haul. A New York congressman and others are urging Major League Baseball to move the 2011 All Star Game out of Phoenix. The cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles have talked of cutting off deals with the state and its businesses.

I 100% thing wall street needs to be cleaned up. And that some sort of regulation needs to be put into place! But to hold up Goldman sachs and make them the only ones, strikes me kinda weird. Especially when you see how much the Obama admin, is involved with them!!!
And before I would drag Goldman up there, I would start dragging up Fannie and Freddie peeps!
I don't think there should be a cap on any one person or companies success, that just leaves a bad taste!

"you go ahead and boycott AZ you fucking whiney little snot nosed bitches. It will backfire as your bullshit always does."

Kind of like when people boycotted Arizona in the late 80's by not honoring the Martin Luther King federal holiday?
They ended up getting the Super Bowl and many conventions canceled in their state losing millions upon millions of dollars.
They finally wised up and approved the Holiday by the early 90's.

Ariz. lawmakers target ethnic studies program
By JONATHAN J. COOPER (AP) – 22 hours ago

    http://www.google.com/hostednews…

PHOENIX — A week after signing an immigration bill that has drawn ire and praise from people around the country, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer has another bill on her desk targeting classes that the state schools chief says promote "ethnic chauvinism."

The measure targets an ethnic studies program from a Tucson school district. It would prohibit classes that advocate ethnic solidarity, that are designed primarily for students of a particular race or that promote resentment toward a certain ethnic group.

Know the crooks and their roles:
George Soros, Joyce Foundation and connection to CCX.

What is CCX, the Chicago Climate Exchange, projected to gross 10 Trillion a year is Cap-N-Tax passes. Obama played a pivotal role in the formation of the CCX. (Click here for expose)

Barrack Hussein Obama, Board Member of the Joyce Foundation, funded the formation of the CCX. (
Valerie Jarrett is still on the board, Obama’s top adviser.) Obama sat on board and funneled money to Ayer’s brother (wild huh, just a guy in his neighborhood) and to form the CCX.

AL Gore--Goldman Sachs-- GIM: Hold on to your britches, London-based Generation Investment Management sees the Trillion and they purchased a huge stake in Chicago Climate Exchange (fifth largest shareholder.) The founder of GIM is none other than former Vice President Al Gore along with Goldman people. For example other founders are David Blood (former Goldman executive), Mark Ferguson (Goldman) and Peter Harris (Goldman) to name a few. “

Franklin Raines, mega crooked banker and bust Fannie Mae head, uses Fannie Mae (taxpayers money) to buy the technology to measure and manage carbon. The patent was award the day after Obama and Dems won the election.

Goldman Sachs owns ten percent of the CCX and its 10 Trillion a year potential. (CCX is 10% owned by Goldman Sachs (GS) and 10% owned by Generation Investment Management (GIM).) Gore, Goldman, and Cap and Trade - Tangled Web of Corruption

Have any of you stopped and thought about the fact that the country is in the double digits for unemployment? Please stop and think about those people still looking for work before you get all high and mighty about helping our neighbors to the south (and mainly screaming 'racism' to get your way).

Why the fuck don't they help themselves?... meaning: PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS, MEXICO. How about a little love and care for your people? The U.S. can't handle the constant flow... not to mention all the drugs and gang shit that's made it's way north.

Boycott AZ all you want... my guess is you'll be boycotting more states in the future as more will be signing on.

Hitler and Nazis rounded up Jews to KILL THEM and rid the world of them... if you feel the need to keep screaming racism or fascism due to the idea of 'papers please'... then you lack the ability to reason and nothing can be accomplished w/'you' in the mix... you need to grow up... and Mexico's Gov. needs to grow up.

    • If they did random traffic stops, or stopped everyone, then you might have a point...BRNK

i totally hear you ponyboy, but think about mexico's economy and their natural resources they have to export. they have none really. they are a tourist destination for the most part, and a gateway of land travel from south america to the us for drug trade. no wealth trickles down there. most of the labor comes up to farm, build or clean. i hear you on the gang tip, but that is tied to the drugs. i grew up in a border town in las cruces nm, just outside el paso. i saw the gang element and also the farm element. the labor is so woven into the economy, its crazy. i just dont see many unemployed americans picking onions or cleaning hotel room to get by.. just being realistic here.

    • Mexico has the 13th largest economy in the world. Right behind India and ahead of Australia.monNom
    • Agriculture, industry/manufacturi... mining/minerals/ener... are all larger components than tourism.monNom
    • Per capita GDP is low, but to say that Mexico has no economy beyond tourism is a bit of a stretchmonNom
  • PonyBoy0

Bon... I REALLY appreciate what you said. :)

It's not an easy thing to figure out at all... I'm not saying it's a snap of the finger to make Mexico a country of economic trade and stability...

... but I feel it's a bit more important to focus on the items both of us mentioned rather than just screaming 'racism' and 'boycott' - which the country has failed to do for years now - thus the rather unfortunate action of AZ's 'papers please' type policy (which in fact is nothing more than a single state upholding a Federal Law already on the books).

  • ronburgundy0

I agree with PonyBoy that Mexico is in a sad state of affairs, however I would argue that the people migrating across our borders aren't competing for the same jobs our vast number of unemployed workers are. Do you want to work in the fields picking vegetables for below minimum wage? And the drugs? C'mon man, why do you think they bring them here? Because sadly we love our drugs and it's only since the fall of the Columbian cartels in the 90's that the Mexican cartels have really expanded to fill the void. I understand why Arizona passed the law - it's a knee-jerk reaction to the growing drug violence that claimed the life of a very prominent rancher as well as the continued failure of the federal government to secure our borders. I just think it's a bad law that is missing the bigger picture of what is really going on with illegal immigration. Just my 2 cents.
