mg33,
If you come up with a good band name, concept, style etc then you could just create the band yourself!MidJourney to come up with the band members.
It can remember all the people so you can show them as a group or individuals in different situations for social posts.
Midjourney also does great video now.Udio or Suno to create the bands music.
Use something like DistroKid to get your music on Spotify, YouTube, TikTok etc
Before you know it you're a 'Damon Albarn' with the Gorillaz kinda shit.
- Ha, yeah, that's an interesting idea. I'm gonna hold onto the one I'm thinking of and maybe use it for something of my own eventually or with somemg33

- Gorillaz was an actual collaboration, not AI slop sorrygrafician
- Gorillaz are an English virtual band created by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett in London, England in 1998.sted
- Nobody said that it was AI, it was a virtual band what you can create with AI today.sted
- It would be better if you didn't get smart about the things you don't even understand.sted
- Thanks Sted. You got what I meant.microkorg
- What part of Gorillaz not being AI slop didn't you understood huh?grafician

I'm quitting my job effective August 15th to go travel for 5+ months. Going to India first to eat food. Then Indonesia to scuba dive. Next I'm going to a beach town in Oaxaca where I'll stay in one place and try to write something I have an idea for.

I'm quitting my job effective november 1st to go travel for 10+ months. Starting in SEA, planning on Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and from there things are pretty much unplanned. Me, myself and a backpack. My longest trip ever. At least that's the plan. I might last 4 months, I might go a full year.
Brought a laptop, and some travel-sized music and DJ equipment. Might work on some music, might play some sets for crowds of around 5 people.
I want to shake off the dust of this one-horse town. I want to explore the world. I want to watch TV in a different time zone. I want to visit strange, exotic malls. I'm sick of eating hoagies. I want a grinder, a sub, a foot-long hero. I want to live, Marge! Won't you let me live?
Wish me luck!

lol making another post here because there were too many notes. Thanks y'all for your advice and well-wishes. @jag The "movin = groovin" indian food advice seems solid.
@YakuZoku, I'll be in Mazunte, which in the past has always seemed really copacetic for travelers... international but not overdeveloped. But things do change over time. I was last there 3 years ago. ...if you're nearby, lmk!
@bainbridge i have a cat and a 1BR apartment, and so I'm getting a young person to come and catsit for me and they're going to pay my cheap rent while living in my nicely appointed apartment. hopefully they don't wreck up the place.
@palimpset just that video by itself is enough to make me feel sick. i feel like some of these dudes must have known what they were doing was disgusting because they were like smiling at the camera while sticking their whole arm into the soup.
This is the 4th long trip I've done in my life where I quit my job to go travel. I highly recommend that anyone punctuate your career with long stints of travel or just time off. Save your monies. Avoid too much debt if possible... live cheap!

My good deed of the day,
Took my lunch and found that the landscapers accidentally knocked a bird's nest to the ground while trimming a tree. I was glad to see the 3 nestling birds survived the 10ft fall. The nest was partially damaged and needed to be rebuilt so I worked quick to scrape together planting materials, fibers, sticks, and some bird-picked items that the parents had used in the previous nest.
This is the finished nest with the nestlings transferred in. It's a nice spacious bird pad now that will be stronger than the old nest.
While building the new nest, the parents watched over me, probably wondering what the hell was going on.
I found a safe new spot in the same tree and added a
canopy shade since the top of the tree was a little more bare after the trimming. Now they have some really nice diffused lighting to help keep them cool. After I placed the nest, one of the parents came in for a closer look at me. Is this their way of saying thanks?
I'm not good with different bird species, but it is this type of bird. Wish I knew the name.

https://media.tenor.…futurefood - I did use sterile gloves as a precaution. But yea, the parents fed them soon after I placed the nest. I’ve been checking on them every few hours. Seems finefuturefood
- It’s funny how you feel forever responsible for them afterwards.
I almost want to get some proper bird meal so the parents don’t need to fly farfuturefood - May not be the best idea though. Idk
It’s a hard world for the little thingsfuturefood - 100% a mockingbird. The scent thing with birds is a myth, but wash your hands for your own sake. You did a good thing here.garbage

My big TV broke on Monday. A vertical, 10cm wide line of glitchy shit in the middle of the screen. The guarantee took it off to repair, so: a couple of TV-less weeks. I bought a brand new cheap projector in Amazon today; one of those with bluetooth, mouse and remote... wish me luck.

- Did you buy a screen to project onto? Do you have great light control (able to get really dark)? Trust me, you’ll need both to enjoy it like a tv.monospaced
- @mono, I'm using a very well painted white wall, and I could control the light (dark).
It worked better than expected! I'll share pictures tonight.maquito - A well painted wall isn’t anything at all like what you’d get with a projector screen. Night and day difference. I’ve been doing this for twenty years.monospaced

Axl Rose sounds horrible. Since many many years he sounds like Mickey Mouse. It's just embarrassing and tarnishing his legacy. His voice is obviously over since at least a decade and not recovering. He has to sing in a different style to make it work.
Why is he still milking it and not retiring?
