I don't often let troll's get to me, but it was a long weekend. Shapesalad brings nothing but vitriolic hate and negativity to QBN and as much i ignore this stuff I feel like he's getting all the attention he wants and needs to carry on. I try not to react, but fuck me, the world is a horrible place in his eyes. I may as well read the Daily Mail or Express than come check out QBN at the moment.
Sorry you're feeling like this Shape. It must be sad for you to live in a world filled with fear and resentment. I have questions specifically for you, Wordsworth.
We know you're a mod.
It's unlikely that you haven't seen the flagged posts, and posts in the Spammer thread.
It's also highly, highly unlikely that the myriad negative reactions QBNers have had to shapesalad and his ilk's toxic posts and notes over the last little while (days/weeks/months) have escaped your attention.
As such:
Why is shapesalad permitted to remain here, in the face of mounting and persistant objection on the part of the rest of the community?
Why is QBN giving hate speech a platform, _especially_ in this day and age?
Why are our flagged posts and reports in the Spammer Report Hotline about things like this being seemingly ignored?
Would you be able to enlighten us a bit on QBN's moderation and community management policy, so that we can understand why racists, sexists, homophobes/transphobes, and bigots of all sorts are given voice and platform here?
What's the line these sorts of individual have to cross, before they're ejected?
Is it that you're understaffed, so to speak? If so, I'm sure there would be more than a couple of volunteers to help out.
To put a fine point on it, allowing this stuff to flourish and propegate on QBN make it very much *not fun* to visit, now. And it serves to drive other users to not visit much (or at all) anymore, users who might otherwise have stayed.
Input and clarification from you on this post, Wordsworth, would be very much appreciated.

To clarify: I’m the product of the pendulum swinging too far, when diversity is shoved so far down your throat, every week diversity and inclusion emails at work - yet somehow white British culture and people are not part of that diversity’ - when any concern you have about mass migration is met with ‘you’re racist’, when you see your culture mocked and ridiculed in favour of migrants culture etc... there comes a point where your tolerance is maxed out and you say fuck off.
This has been a 20 year shift in UK, it’s been a time of the most migration in history to the UK. It would be naive to not expect the pendulum to start to swing back.
At a societal level you see this, people are becoming more vocal and have had enough. But QBN’ers still seem to see it with an early 2000s perspective- perhaps having never been at the receiving end of any negative consequences.
More broadly, I zoom out and see this as nothing more than end cycle times of our current civilisation, the swapping of people from countries and continents has happened since time immemorial, cultures and traditions die and are born constantly throughout history.
And just to note, I’ve never been racist to anyone in real life, never hit, spat or swore at anyone. However I have been attacked for being white on several occasions by blacks and Arabs, so go figure. Perhaps I glanced in a racist way?

I've been inactive in QBN lately, more exactly since I started my new job more than a month ago (I will get there in another post) and now that I'm on vacation.
I still visit QBN everyday and read more or less what people post.
Something nice that happened was that I exchanges some messages with autoflavour in IG when he visited Germany and I felt way closer (sorry that you had such a bad weather man!).
So, things that lately made me think or reflect in QBN were:
- autoflavour's posts about his thoughts on life and so on, that really kept me a bit busy to the point that I didn't read anything in the blog thread after that until today. despite being a very tough subject I really appreciated that he shared it with us because it's a very difficult subject but also very instrospective, reflective and very personal. for me this is an important part of QBN in my life and the sharing of emotions and one's lives.
- shapesalad, honestly I don't want him to be expelled. I just wish he would stop and focus in other things here with us.

So I popped out to my local-to-work shop to pick up a couple of cans. As I leave I see a couple of useless-looking dickheads, one of whom is familiar - "Ahh, that moron who interrupted me at work one time, walking straight into to my studio without knocking, not picking the hint up that I was really busy and it wasn't a good time and was sullen, borderline incoherent and just a useless stoner (and this is me saying this)". I ignore him, he ignores me, I pass by and go to the shop.
When I get there, it has been covered in spray paint - but weirdly so, like at 40% coverage. Aghast, I ask the lady if the place had been hit by taggers and she laughs and says "no, I asked some local kids to spray the shutters.." at which point I know exactly what's happened "but they didn't cover the windows or the door, so half the spray paint came through the perforations and..." Yeah, I got the picture. I tssk and shake my head, we have a wee chat and I offer her some solvent alcohol I have to clean it. She responds "actually the girl felt terrible so she's gone to get some stuff and will be back later to clean it up." Well, that's good at least. She peers out the window and goes "Oh, here they are now!", and of course, it was stupid fuckwit useless stoner and his girlfriend.

So one of my speakers blew in my Macbook pro 2015 and I thought I'd just replace it myself... I did not expect you to have to remove the motherboard (sorry logicboard) to replace both of them.
Slaps them in, put it together, it boots, but I forgot to connect a cable to the keyboard easy peasy. Pull it apart, connect keyboard cable.... doesn't boot.
After about an hour of cursing and trying to find out whats wrong I decide to go to bed and look at it tomorrow.
Wake up at 6 in the morning, pull everything apart, connect it up again. Finally it lives again! Now I can go to bed and never do this again....
I am planning to replace the harddrive though, because what could possibly go wrong?
