Just typed a client's surname into Windows Explorer Search and pressed enter, not really looking at the screen 'til it refreshed, and when it did, my search term had been changed to 'Zion', with no results.
I've just had a small joint and so had a genuine What The Fuck? moment. I didn't type that!

Then I remembered that a week or so ago I was searching another directory for music from 'A Silver Mt. Zion'.
Still doesn't really explain why Windows decided that I wasn't searching for what was searching for.

Just after some advice here...or maybe not.
I was a member of a private sporting club for many years - 20+. As time and finances dictated, I changed membership category so that I was still a member but couldn't use most of the facilities on a regular basis. Still had to pay a fee.
My finances have taken a bit of a hit in recent times...so I was on a quarterly payment plan. Ended up falling a quarter behind...lonmg story short the club ended up striking me off as a member.
Now I didn't agree with it...but respected their right to protect themselves financially. I ended up appealing to the Board directly to see if the ruling could be overturned.
They responded with a firm no...saying after considering my payment history and "all the information gathered over the years" the actions stood.
When I read the "all the information gathered over the years" part I blew my top. Have never been in trouble for anything...ever. Have represented them many times. Never a problem. Only my payment history.
I wrote back demanding clarification as to what this meant. No answer.
But this is almost fucking slander if it's been discussed at a Board meeting...using information that I obviously have no clue about and which must be untrue.
Not sure if anyone can offer anything...probably just wanted to get off my chest. I'm livid.

Been working on a huge project for several months that was supposed to go live in two weeks on an international expo, and the whole thing w as just canceled due to the corona virus. Months of building a campaign, a massive booth, interactive demos, live mobile based experiences, video, print, digital, social. It's all over.

What a small world it is - I've just had a client come and pick up some awards I'd cut for him, for some fashion illustrator thing. Get to talking and it turns out he's been trying to invite someone to attend the ceremony who is an illustrator that taught some great names in fashion at CSM a while back - the likes of John Galliano and such.
The guy he's looking for is my neighbour, whose fence I need to fix this week after it blew down during the storms last weekend. I knew roughly what sort of thing the guy had done, but I didn't quite appreciate his rep... .
