Round shoelaces that come on boots, fucking suck. They won't stay tied without double-knotting them. Which, looks stupid on dress boots. Why do they even make these god forsaken things?

Working on a 26 x 2.5metre wall display. Quite complex but kinda cool looking graphics, printed onto vinyl with media screens. Client signs of initial concepts so we get started with actual file working tenth of the size and the file size is over 40gig so far in Photoshop. Client now wants to fuck about with the design process and change all the images. Fun!
- use InDesign and place imagesmonospaced
- Break it into sections.i_monk
- Thanks guys. Not gonna work. The file size isn't really the issue, just the constant changing of ideas. Just letting off some steam!Ianbolton

that extension i started built last year? or the local css to hide or change some stuff and enable the night mode?sted - ^ I'm in tears here. can't stop laughing.oey
- I thought you made some local script that hid selected portions of QBN pages, including usernames? Was that someone/thing else?Nairn
- I remember that script, it was a pain in the ass to get it working. You needed to set your browser to Adult Mode and load the Self-Control library first.soundofreason
- oh how tediously righteous you are.
I mean I simply don't want to see drivel everywhere, I'm quite content not responding to it most of the time.Nairn - Make a thread about it.soundofreason
- Oh he's clever, this one. Are you as unswervingly sanctimonious in real life, or is it just a character you play for +1s?Nairn
- man asks for favor in civil manner. another man ridicules that request. i must be at qbn.imbecile
- Nairn:I have an old extension what some troll managed to take down from the official storage. And I have a special css what is using css2-3 to do layout thingssted
- extension can hide notes / posts from specific people, the css hides the votes, changes colors of nicknames for example.
so what is it that you need?sted

A question for all the QBN parents or marrieds here (these questions are mutually exclusive)
1. Has being married changed the way you work or relate to the people you work with? Perhaps even work itself?
2. Has having children or an additional responsibility (like a child) changed the way you work with others, or even possibly how you're in a relationship with others or those in your community?
3. Has either changed your goals from when you did not have a kid (kids)?
- #3 was not clear. Has having either changed your goals from when these things were not present.notype
- my baby momma tried to kill me with a steak knife once.docpoz
- i got the hell outta dodgedocpoz
- then she put a restraining order on me. fuck it..ill see the kid when hes 18docpoz
- one thing about father. he'll never bullshit his kids.docpoz
- other than that i think she's a fine person. I didnt know the system had her hooked on the brain pills. they milked her dry $$$docpoz
- i guess she needed em. but i think wine and growing up would have helpeddocpoz
- she has a fine familial support system. they are good people.docpoz
- my personal goals have remained the same: follow my personal path of dreams and realistic productivity projectsdocpoz
- im still debating whether the pills are a scamdocpoz
- YES on all 3. All in positive ways.monospaced
- Having kids puts things in perspective. Work doesn't seem as important. You learn. patience and how to apply it to relationships and tasks.monospaced
- mono, interesting. I'm finding that there's something really special about working alongside leadership who have little ones... I'll say more laternotype
- the "there's gotta be more to this", haunts me these days. time for a new way of living.notype
- thanks for your perspective mononotype
- yes on all three. I used to think of myself first and now i think of the fam first. I still have those friends that give me shit for not going out..HijoDMaite
- Im one of those friends.
not towards hijo tho.pango - Yeah, they are usually single or shitty dads.HijoDMaite
- lol
i will not lose another friend to marriage and kids!!pango - notype. thinking about making someone babies mama? :Ppango
- yes, for better and worse. Any relationship will get heightened. So fix all small quarks before.
Dreams / goals - fucking hard work. Still trying to finish mymugwart - book and my kid is 9 now, used to be able to get a writing project complete ever 12-18 months.
kids + working in a cooperation isnt fun at allmugwart - Yes, all positive, all constructive. My baby was born 3 mo. ago, and and am getting married in january, but still counts.maquito
- I feel less self-interested, but still doing my shit. Still playing in my band, still having my beers with friends, maquito
- however, appreciating much more the time I spend with everyone. Specially with the family.maquito
- Yes to all 3. Hard re-evaluation of what is important and what make you happy in every aspect of life. Never been a big "goals" guy though tbhstoplying

2018 is the year I fully dive into Youtube. This is now the website I visit the most and where I spend the most of my time online.
I hate a chicken pita for dinner and we had a power outage.
Tomorrow, snow is coming.

I'm going home for the 3rd time today. Spring is here, and it feels like summer, so I can't sit on my ass. The current distraction from work is to go home, make some buttery chilli prawns and aglio olio.
Check-in to that bakery where the girl who looks like Margaret Qualley works. With the hope that she will be there today, and I have a chance to ask her out.My office inbox is at 49 unread, one project is in crisis.
I will be back in 2-3 hours.Life is great.

Got a rejection email from company I went for interview for (really wanted to land the gig), I was kind of expecting it but still massively deflated by finding out for sure.

Humans are limited in knowledge and physical footprint. Shall we play a game?

I made Bulletproof coffee. But used caffeine-free coffee. And added 20 mg of Ritalin. Been focused as a laserbeam for 6 hours straight. Better living through chemistry.
I might die later, but at least i was productive today.

- Living your best life!!docpoz
- single use of ritalin/methylphenid... does nothing. You need to build up a certain level and hold it. Usually takes 2-4 weeks.mekk
- I used to take two Thermadrine and one mini-thin and call it "the formula"HijoDMaite
- @mekk you're wrong. I've been taking it on/off for years. You're thinking of SSRI's or similar.jagara
- It's a CNS stimulant. Like caffeine, cocaine, amphetamine. Works after 10-15 minutes.jagara
- Don't take medication advice from graphic design forums, kids :)jagara
- I was treated with Ritalin from age 12 on, I know a thing or two about itmekk
- Been taking it 15 years. Let's agree to disagree.jagara
- ^ This is how world peace should happen.Longcopylover
- my bro was on it as a kid. not something to fuck around with recreationaly, if anyone is getting 'ideas'....exador1
- Is bulletproof coffee just melted butter?!?zarkonite
- yup yup yup just don't do ritalin, it's not designed for people without adhd.mekk
- Actually I always got mad when people asked me for it to "concentrate" for study or job etc. Fuck em, _I_ have trouble concentrating, not you. You're just lazymekk
- but nowadays I don't care. Just let your body rot. Not my decision.mekk
- @mekk i have ADHD. My psychiatrist told me to take "when needed".jagara
- I have a prescription, dude.jagara
- Ritalin is like speed. Definitely works per dose; doesn’t take days or weeks. I can attest to that! Got me through a couple papers in college.monospaced
- ^ Works like speed for people who don't have ADHDmekk
- ^ True. Me, it calms down. My hyperactivity stops, as my brain is now stimulated, and doesn't need movement or fidgeting ;)jagara

Charged a client a higher hourly rate for a project recently - I was hesitant and expected to have to explain the invoice. But invoice was paid promptly and without question.
Now she has recommended me to one of her clients at the going (higher) rate and I'm so glad I stuck to my guns and charged what I charged.
