My direct supervisor came in to give me my annual review and basically told me I exceeded expectations among every manager on every project I have worked on, and they are happy to have me on the team. Based on my their inputs I should be seeing a raise very soon.

Funny how my VP decides to share everything about how the chess game is being played at the company and the reasons things are the way they are, and what changes he is looking at making. Then of course the “if you would have just been patient then this and that would have happened..”
All the meanwhile I have to think about my individual development, family, and finances. The psychology that goes in to managing 250+ people seems dawnting to say the least. Good things to remember for my future I guess.
Anyway, good stuff, and they left the door completely open for me to come back if I don’t like what I see at my new company.

As some of you may have surmised, I have been shopping for a second vehicle to replace the Jeep with.
Having found a candidate in Ohio, I have reached out to the dealer expressing my interest. This is not a special car, nor is it in special condition. He's been sitting on this vehicle for 10 weeks. Ten. That's almost a year in used car lot time.
I have expressed my desire for a few supplemental photos, video / audio of the engine and exhaust while running as well as some detailed photos of the minor rust he mentioned during our only call. I have invited him to use his phone to send me the requested pics / vids to my phone just in case the email request was too much.
Fairly easy right? Wrong.
I even told him on the phone that I would make a deposit payment, to which he replied that I could make it with a debit card. I agreed.
I have received no photos, no video, no email, no call, no reply to texts, no link to pay a deposit. This guy must be the least involved car salesman in the business.
I'd be there to pick up the car in a week or two... if he'd just sell it to me.
