Florida had more new cases yesterday than Canada had all week combined. Florida has just under half the population of Canada.
Guess the border's staying closed this year.
- Hardly anyone wearing masks in Canada, either.********
- Remember kids, it takes a few weeks for cases to start showing up. Florida is fucked********

Ministers have been accused of playing down the gravity of the coronavirus pandemic after it emerged that more than 1,000 people died every day in the UK for 22 consecutive days – in stark contrast with daily tolls announced by the government.
At the start of Easter week, on Monday 6 April, Raab announced the death toll in on Sunday 5 April had risen by 439. Official figures show that in fact almost three times as many people died on 5 April – a total of 1,210.
Boris Johnson spoke repeatedly of “squashing the sombrero” to keep the peak under a level that would overwhelm the NHS, but the figures also show that the death toll rose more than three times faster than it fell, creating a lopsided curve that drove the overall death toll to more than 52,000.

"What they don’t tell you about surviving COVID-19
'Recovered' doesn't mean healthy again"
https://www.sfgate.com/science/a…
"Most people who catch the new coronavirus don’t experience severe symptoms, and some have no symptoms at all. COVID-19 saves its worst for relatively few.
ICU nurse Sherie Antoinette has seen the serious cases first hand.
The lucky ones — if you can call them that — recover, but not in the sense that their lives are back to normal. For some, the damage is permanent. Their organs will never fully heal.
“When they say ’recovered,’ they don’t tell you that that means you may need a lung transplant,” Antoinette wrote in a Twitter post. “Or that you may come back after discharge with a massive heart attack or stroke, because COVID makes your blood thick as hell. Or that you may have to be on oxygen for the rest of your life.”
FUCK CORONA!

"Museums, galleries and cinemas will be allowed to reopen from 4 July, alongside pubs, restaurants and hairdressers, Boris Johnson will announce on Tuesday in a decisive but potentially risky easing of lockdown measures in England.
Two days later, millions of people with underlying health issues will be permitted to leave their homes and mix with groups for the first time in three months, it was announced on Monday."

Drove around the LES in NYC last night. (Monday was Phase 2 of reopening).
A handful of bars with giant crowds out front, no distancing. Didn’t really see any masks. Maybe 1 person with a mask for every 20 people without. Not that there aren’t other places to drink nearby, it’s just everyone wants to be at whichever bar is the busiest.
Florida really never distanced and look how that turned out. Trump promoting NOT wearing masks at his crowded indoor event. Doesn’t even ask people to distance.
I swear I’m going to lose it when people on TV & Twitter start blaming BLM for a spike in new cases.
