That was an amazing ep, I don't mind going though some weird ones to pay off with episodes like this, fuck off haters.

The Mandalorian has gone downhill with each season.

  • CyBrainX0

Not the Mandalorian but I'm glad they're getting back to the Jedi. Also, Rosario never fails.

    • I love Rosario, but if this is more Kenobi than Andor, I'm out.i_monk

Episode seven ... Lol/facepalm/wtf? .. after six lacklustre episodes they finally get around to a delivering a decent plot/story, some great cameos and great visuals/action sequences ...

Sigh. This show is just so much fucking fun.

Second ep is great. And Katee Sackhoff is still hot.

When I was watching that laser gate scene, my first thought was this scene from Blazing Saddles. Same energy:

Is there a boba fett thread?

Man that last episode was terrible, two things irked me, the first was the western theme of that town in tattooine, why western? Felt so off, so cheesy and the second and major one was that we’re still in uncanny valley with you know who. Just looked terrible.
Why bother? A spitting image puppet would have looked better.

    • Sorry this was for episode 6 of boba fett which featured the mandalorian again_niko

    • Why western? The entire show is a western.monNom
    • yeah basically but this is straight up spaghetti western, 6 shooters and everything. Don't get it, it's in a galaxy far, far away lol_niko
    • I gave up on that series a few episodes ago. It's just intentionally mediocre.CyBrainX
  • PhanLo3

    • 7 minutes? There must be spoilers in there.CyBrainX
  • CyBrainX2

I love the series but saying it's the best Star Wars has done is an overstatement. The plotlines are very thin in comparison. The main character needs something. He runs into opposition and does them a favor in exchange for what he wants. It's a bit formulaic.
Also, making Star Wars with no discussion of the force or having Jedi is a handicap. Take the episode with Rosario Dawson. Didn't that one feel like a breath of fresh air in comparison to most episodes?

    • Isn’t supposed to be a Space Spaghetti Western?nb
    • It reminds me of MTV's Aeon Flux or Wylie Coyote and the Road Runner but better. It's less ambitious than a Star Wars film.CyBrainX
    • In all fairness...it's probably less ambitious than Star Wars because they have to produce dozens and dozens of shows. Quantity goes up...quality goes down!utopian

Finished season 2 last night. Wow.

I struggled to get through season 1 because the show just wasn’t hitting the right notes for me. Too corny out of the gate, unimpressive rubber suit aliens, a little heavy on the lame jokes and one liners. Not enough of the lore.

But season 2 was totally different. Throughout the season i was continually impressed. Some of the best Star Wars action scenes and content I’ve seen in any movie. So much fun.

    • in any Star Wars movie, that is.monospaced
    • They seriously stepped up the production budget. Even the sound mic was leagues better in my opinion. Incredibly immersive and I even jumped a couple of times.monospaced
    • *mix (I enjoy a good surround setup).monospaced
  • StoicLevels-1

Really dug the second season but I felt the season tailed off a little production design wise after the 4th episode. I'm not sure they used the majority of the budget on those episodes or if COVID affected the situation.

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the season even though I didn't like the "Luke Face".

Those first episodes with the sandworm and later the ice spiders were like a realization of 70-80s Eerie Mag Pulp. A sci-fi'ers wet dream and truly fantastic television.

    • I would say it was the reverse... but ok.fadein11
    • I found it a bit bogged down in Star Wars/Jedi lore for me, the lack of that was what I enjoyed in the first season.webazoot
