so what can you do with it? can you actually buy shit? what if everyone who owns bitcoin tries to cash out at once? is this just a massive ponzi scheme but in crypto form?

    • yeah, with stocks you can sort of gauge the companies success, follow the industry, see what moves they're making and sort of predict where a stock could go but_niko
    • with bitcoin it's 100% speculation I think, can go up or down unpredictably with no rhyme or reason. An ecconomist told me, could be $600k next year could be $0_niko

It's all just part of the cycle. And in macro mark terms we've gone very Risk—OFF. It'll cycle around to Risk—ON and Bitcoin will reach a new all time high. Meanwhile a bunch on innovation will happen in the space, across blockchain, defi and nfts tech - some projects will race up in the next rally. You have a couple years to research.

One thing that has changed is that more people realised there is no utilitarian value in BTC. It is nothing. It's no commodity, it's not even useful to pay with.

It's nothing but a speculative asset only held by people hodling to it. You've known this for a time, but it's how all those pyramid schemes are built: you know it's a scam but hope you got in early enough and someone else will get burned.

This is not to say it will not skyrocket again, or that an actual use for it will not be discovered.

I'm just saying it's nothing but hot air from a million GPUs.
