You see animals getting killed and tortured everyday?!
Don't fancy your job mate... ever thought of changing?!

I hope this fucking bitch gets shot in the head. That's all she deserves. If someone told me: you're not going to jail if you shoot her, I'd gladly do it.

Yay for rabattski's Pepe and Chico! :)
And once again... Hope that bitch gets shot in the head. Previous torture would be cool too. I'd drink and smoke to that.

(oct 28 04, 03:44)do you know what hypocrisy is BobaFetus? yours comes from professing to being incensed by the idea of killing another living being yet relishing the idea of killing another human being.
i can't support the art, don't feel i know enough about it to be honest and it seems like it's going for shock value on the surface, but it shits me when "pro-life" types threaten to kill and torture other people.

there are so many stupid people on NT.
- toe-knee0
i don't know how i feel about that. It raises alot of questions about us being on top of the food chain and the general waste in todays society.
Shes a brave woman.

Aren't there laws in most contries that you can't just kill an animal without a justafiable reason? And on that note, is art a justafiable reason?
I also thinks its kind of fucked up that she kills the animals herself. When I read the original post I was expecting some "modern art" hacked up piles of dead animals or some atrocious shit like that. But this seems somewhat tastefull while remaining terribly odd and undeniably desturbing. I wouldn't be so quick to call her a disgusting human being and wish harm to her.

oh wow. I've only just clicked on the link (was a bit scared at first), and I have to say, I really like that. Some macabre stuff, but subtely beautiful. Death as ornament.. but they look so peaceful, all the animals. That's really affecting.
you fuckin sensationalist morons don't know what you're talking about with your casual and ignorant use of the words "modern art" etc.
Feel free to morally object life being taken for this purppose - but dont be so stupid to make these broad sweeping statements on art wank etc... you're only highlighting ur stupidity.
- chossy0
eeeeew I dinae like that I recon it's a bit cruel and kind of easy to do. If she really killed them then it is uncool. She should stop it in my regal opinion. macabre stuff is rad but not if it is real then it's specialist and should be approached with trepidation!
- JuniorSenior0
Just don't mess with cat
- rabattski0
"you fuckin sensationalist morons don't know what you're talking about with your casual and ignorant use of the words "modern art" etc."
which in itself is an ignorant remark.
- ********0
no it is not. i'm referring to the people who see fit to condemn the whole of modern art cos of this one artist they disagree with. they are sensationalising by using terms such as torture and cruelty and putting up links to bonsai kitten as equivalent - when it is not equivalent.
for all u know, and in all likelyhood, the animals may have been sedated and euthanised in a most peaceful way. There is no evident torture involved. You may object to the sanctitiy of life being infringed, but then that is another matter.
- rabattski0
partially agree.
first of, i hate the word sensationalist, which in itself is also a sensationalist thing to say. it's an opinion. if it happens to be a popular or a policitical correct opinion so be it. everyone is entitled to it.
bonsai kitten was not posted as an equivalent. that's what you make of it.
no one knows knows the details about how the animals are killed exactly. it's been describes as "humanly". that's all. so i wouldn't make any conclusions on that.
coming back to my own opinion, killing animals, humanly or not, for art is something i cannot agree with. yes it's a sensationalist thing to say, then again in this case i'm rather a sensationalist than not. i do happen to like the images but the fact that she actually kills for it, dunno, not my cup of tea. would have been a totally different thing if she would have used already dead animals for it (as stated before).
maybe i made myself not clear in an earlier post. trying to convince the people to be more aware about eating animals by killing animals for art is imo a lost cause. you're trying to convince people who already are convinced. the ones who know her artwork or go to her show are imo more intelligent than the masses who prolly won't give a fuck about it at all and still find it important that a pound of steak is cheap as possible.
now i'm an elitist as well. woo yay! i'm so morally challenged.
- rabattski0
and what the hell are those line breaks doing in my post?
- chossy0
hey kuz everyones idea of art should be different. Personally I like things that make me feel an enjoyable emotion or make me wonder and respect the skill involved in the paticular peice I am looking at etc. This didn't check any of those boxes for me.
- chossy0
yo juniorsenior that is teh best photo ever have you got more yeah boyee :).

Dude, it is totally sensationalist to go on about torture and cruelty. I'm ok, and understand if you are horrified that she is treating life so frivolously. I dont think it's sensationalist to say killing for art is wrong. But goin on "fuckin murder this cruel animal torturing bitch! God i hate modern art!", like so many of the intelligently challenged have been - is snesationalist AND ignorant. It's not directed at u specifically.
Anyhow, my own take on this is not a comment on something about the food chain or whatever. I dont find this as a piece making some social commentary. I like it cos it repulses me and attracts me at the same time. It's a gut emotional response, and it's personal. It's not something you have to be elititst about. You either like it, think its stupid, or object to it morally. All of which i think are fine and valid. I'm not telling no one what to think.
Also, i dont find this to be a sensationalist piece of art, as some people were alluding to. That i also thought was THEM being sensationalist rather than the artist.
- ********0
I like it.
I'd rather she used dead animals... but i think the reaction to it says a lot.
Animals are killed everyday for our consumption, and worse, are treated apallingly while alive. I think I like to see her do it to cows or sheep... pigs, chickens.
We keep cats as pets, which is why it bothers some people I expect. Some people eat them.
