rabattaki - you are my rabbi tonight... your words are full of wisdom.
killing something is not art... ever.

dude. my whole day is ruined due to this thread. and the day is just starting here.
btw, that gallery also prolly wouldn't mind showcasing the beheading videos since it's going "beneath the surface" and you " find things that perhaps you do not want to know about". also "the insight into the reality behind them gives rise to thoughts about people's shallowness and double standards".

wasn't you that vegan dude, paul?
- lilbabyarm0
yeah shit at least you can watch the beheading video and say something to the effect of "you fucking dumb moron, what in the hell are you doing in iraq to begin with!?" but these poor animals have no defense. it's just not cool. I swear if someone even fucks with my turtles.

They're just showing prints aren't they? So why can't she save the little animals and learn Photoshop instead?
But... I don't think it's much different from killing an animal solely for it's skin/fur, not that that's a good thing either.

How do you know if she is killing them or just using corpses from the kennel or something. I hope she does humans.
- lilbabyarm0
it says that she kills them.

Dirty bitch.

no not vegan stew, i'm a pescatarian. no meat except fish. becoming vegan is too hardcore for me. besides i think vegan is unhealthy.

is it worse to make art than it is too eat?

There will always be nutters in general, and art nutters in particular. What's the big deal, go hug a tree.

abizzyman, you use the word intellectual like it's a dirty word

there were actually people at my work who thought bonsai kitten was real...

well, it seems clear to me that millions of animals are killed and mutilated every day, in factories on farms etc for food. our food and the system of eating has become so devalued as it is a secondary function yet people objectify 'art'. place it in reverance and even spend tens of thousands of pounds for small pieces or 'art'. by creating art from slaughtered animal she is actually raising the bar on our view of these animals to something more than mere food. and the fact she kills them herself is important as she is engaged in the process and the slaughter doesn't stem from the 'food chain'
ha ha ha yap yap yap. I have only woken up, little hungover and haven't thought this through.
p.s. I don't eat meat.

death is not cruelty

and it's interesting that she deliberately uses non edible animals like kittens and shit... if she used cows or chicked very less people would give a fuck
