the company i work for (and the young designer who took my work/ideas and passed them off as his own a month ago) decided it's best to animate our corporate logo instead of utilizing a small spinner for our mobile loading screen.
like it's 2005 flash all over again.
it's a shitty line tween that shittily morphs 3 shit icons, then, morphs the last small, thin icon into our logo that's wide and text based.
the tween/animation is so fucking shitty i just cant.
the past month here I feel like i'm in a time warp back to the mid 2000s.

Wrote a long post about my recent life change and diastious October that covered: missing a flight by 10mins, being turned down from renting a crappy cheap room in a flat share because I take my salary as dividends, launching new portfolio website and getting zero response from recruiters/jobs, design job market looking dismal and not suitable for a middle age man, girlfriend clearly not doing well as looking anorexic and resulting in me falling out of love feeling guilty and overwhelmed by her, feeling worn down and beaten up by london after being here for less than two week, contemplating living with my mother for a couple months at age 40 while I get myself a new plan.... but, figured, chin up, keep going, and deleted what I wrote.

There was madness in any direction, at any hour. If not across the Bay, then up the Golden Gate or down 101 to Los Altos or La Honda... You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning...
And that, I think, was the handle — that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn’t need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting — on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave...
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes, you can almost see the high-water mark—that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back."
