Really feeling what a nightmare health insurance is in America at present. I'm looking for a new job. My contract role is up in mid May, so trying to line something up so I'm not out of work for too long.
I get my insurance currently through my contract employer. It's okay but still close to $1,600 for a family of four for medical, vision, and dental.
I get contacted by a new contract recruiter for an appealing role, give them my minimum hourly rate, then ask about health insurance. They don't even offer it.
So like why keep me on the phone when I tell you it's a dealbreaker? My wife's company insurance sucks and would cost even more.
That health insurance must pretty much be tied to employment is beyond ridiculous.

Tahini is my new favourite thing.
I used to buy it to make houmous and would do a few batches, get bored and move on and then it would just sit, a half-empty jar lonely and unwanted at the back of my fridge, before a clean out a year later.
I've gone through a whole large jar in a month now. It's great with chicken, it's great with salad, it's great with mayo as an earthy wetness to sandwiches.
Any time I snack, I hoy a glob onto the side of my plate and by Jove, it works with near everything.

So, as I'm getting older, I'm obviously getting wrinkly, a bit dried out in places, so I use a simple daily cocoa butter cream so I don't look like a creep with ashy legs and elbows.
Got a new one today, and opened up the foil lid inside with every intention of just pulling the lid back on and using it tonight after a shower.
But then, for some fucking reason, my dumb ass, instead of just throwing the foil away...decided to let my old swiss cheese brain take over and convince my arm, hand, and mouth that I had just opened a yogurt.
You guys, I fucking LICKED the cocoa butter body lotion off the foil.
