    My father had a stroke on Friday; I called an ambulance, which arrived in 5 minutes, and now he’ll have to spend a week under observation—just a couple of weeks after turning 82.

    There don’t seem to be any lasting effects, aside from a bit of mental fog, but I think he’ll recover soon.

    I really hope they don’t forbid him from riding his bike, because if they do, his decline will be drastic.
