What's the most expensive book you ever bought ?
I'm considering a brand new $650 collection of visuals that would be very useful/inspiring and probably instantly pay for itself but I can't convince myself to bite the bullet!
There's no single book equivalent in terms of how much of a goldmine this book is.That's the original publisher price (limited run + signed by some celebrity, none of which I care about), second-hand goes for close to 2k, ouch.
- I think about a £120. I'm currently trying to sell one for £300... . I gave up trying for £450 - it's not going so well, lol.Nairn

Food
I've been really going to town with cooking chicken thighs skin side down from cold in a heavy pan for the last few weeks, as per below (skip to 5 minutes).
It's such a good method. Also, deboning and prepping thighs twice a week results in bones and trimmings that I hoy into a bag and keep in the freezer until there's enough to make a stock with. Poifick.
- Now I want chicken for dinner. Thanks for that.Continuity

I've been finding the deboning process somewhat meditative. I think I could work in a meat preparation factory. ...Nairn - ... Calm for years, then snap and go on to murder half of a small, rural village as demented retribution for all those chickens.Nairn

2026 World Cup
this was the difference between England and Argentina.
Argentina took this match personally, their passion and determination showed.
They sung their national anthem at the top of their lungs during the playing of God save the king, drowning it out.
They played for their flag.
- I thought England showed much more fire against Mexico, I thought they'd come out and show more passion against Argentina but they were lacking something_niko
- if passions means using hands like the one player from argentina who came with the fist from the back to the head & or messi doing that headlock.. fuck passionsneverscared

Recent review of the release... (tickles my dickles to read this kinda stuff)
"Precision electro stalwarts Bass Agenda return with R.I.O.T—Kill The Algorithm, an eight-track remix package steeped in cyberpunk aesthetics. Its vocodered paranoia warnings of machine ascendancy echo the futures imagined by William Gibson and Neal Stephenson, where technology, surveillance and corporate power reshape the human condition. It’s familiar territory, but electro remains one of the genre’s most convincing soundtracks for these dystopian visions.
Production is razor-sharp throughout. Punchy 808s, ominous basslines and restless arpeggios lock into tightly wound sequences that generate a constant sense of mechanical momentum. Funk-inflected rhythms prevent the release from becoming austere, ensuring each remix remains as dancefloor-ready as it is atmospherically charged. The title track is reinforced by a series of consistently strong reinterpretations, with the Shawscape Renegade‘s remix proving particularly dope, adding extra drive without sacrificing the original’s icy tension. Elsewhere, the inclusion of “Private Tyranny” is a welcome bonus, and its accompanying remix is nothing short of wicked, extending the release’s dystopian narrative with equal force.
The influence of Anthony Rother is unmistakable, and perhaps these ideas could be pushed further than these familiar routine, but in the end Bass Agenda generally avoids simple imitation. Instead, here, they deliver a confident, expertly crafted collection that embraces electro’s cyberpunk heritage while sounding serious, forceful and unmistakably grounded in contemporary tropes."

2026 World Cup
After scoring, England couldn't possibly think they should defend and block Argentina's attempts for 30 min, that's how ARG won all its games! :(
Now as much as I can't stand Yamal, I have to root for Spain against Argentina, and hope for France to win 5-1 against England to end on a good note (and maybe Mbappe taking the lead as all time WC scorer).
