I was thinking today if there was a correlation between nursing home beds per capita and the corona-virus impact on countries, and lo and behold it's pretty accurate and makes sense.
Countries who's families tend to keep the elderly with them in their homes have a much lower death rate.

The man I mentioned who was in the care home a couple of days ago died last night, we'd heard from his wife this morning.
She was able to visit him in full PPE and was with him in his last moments.Our friend who is a nurse in the home said 10 more patients in his part of the home were infected and in a different ward another patient also died last night.
One nurse had contracted the virus this week too.Apparently a patient was transferred from somewhere else who had Covid, which then quickly spread throughout the home.
The outcome is pretty bleak.

They didn't see the deaths of the vulnerable and elderly as an acceptable price to pay.

Still no toilet paper (among many many other things missing) in one of the five biggest supermarkets in Frankfurt. They say, there is no shortage, but whenever I went within the last seven weeks, they did not have any. I was able to buy a family pack a few weeks ago in a drugstore, so I am fine until June.
Same goes for masks. Some say, they should be mandatory, but you cannot buy them anywhere. I don't want a mask anyways and can avoid crowds pretty well here.
Now, all of my shoots have gone down the drain. Six models, four destinations. Refunds from airlines didn't work out yet. And only one voucher from one airline.
My printing house is moving to the country side and is leaving downtown Frankfurt. It was there since around 1850. One of the oldest businesses of Frankfurt. Lovely staff. I almost had tears in my eyes when I went to say good-bye. Moving to the country-side saves them from Corona crisis. They have nothing to print anymore.
My renovation project is going well. In two weeks, my new office will be ready, I suppose.
I get the idea that they are still clueless about Corona and there's no plan of what to do. Today's recommendation is not to plan to go on a summer holiday.

Just got a call from my mom (81) who had to be rushed to the hospital two weeks ago to have her appendix removed. Today she got a call that the nurse who treated her tested positive for COVID 19. It's been a little over two weeks and my mom is feeling fine but still scary as shit.
