I am realizing that the feeling of my views being increasingly insignificant to younger generations is actually incredibly freeing. They matter more now (especially in their own head).
Leaving me to enjoy my life.
Fuck 'em. Good luck. I'll promise to vote and recycle.

I am getting tired of being pushed to use ai more at the workplace. To me it is still a junior “coworker”, I am waiting for more sophisticated results, it is still a waste of time I feel. And it throws me off of my research and creative routine and flow. I don’t like where this is going. It wants to cut the best parts from the process.
- Pushed, how? To save time, I mean, if you're producing good ideas already, why the need for average AI ideas?canoe
- You see it all the time in job posts too. I don't think I need someone to tell me how to do the job.CyBrainX
- @canoe Pushed mostly bc it's cool and they think they miss something out I guessfisheye
- Make a presentation where every slide is the same design and same message and tell them - is this what you want?canoe

On a Greek holiday (Paros) we found the local dance music radio station 'Venus' radio, broadcasting from Mykonos. It was great as we didn't have a phoen cable and the car was very basic. Winner – house music all week.
After a day of it, I noticed that all the tracks had that afro-house / amapiano feeling – but the very white version of that sound, like Keinemusik. I am a big fan lof house and techno, DJ'd for years and have a reasonably scholarly appreciation of most dance music.
Stuff like this:
Anyway, before I could realize what I was saying, i turned to my wife and said – "is it me or does all this music sound the same?" and we both looked at each other and i was like "NOOOOOOO!!! It happened!"
The answer is yes it did all sound the same, and by that I mean broadly, average.
- Modern Greek house music is as generic as most other house music. I love the traditional Greek music though.CyBrainX
- There's a global trend though of this sound (like the one on the left) and its so pervasive but i also don't know if thats what the younger crowd like nowadays!DaveO
- Long live the magic of the 90s and early 00s and it's colourful spectrum of sounds and music subcultures

- It's safe and polished, it looks great on Instagram... back in day no one cared about all that, just amazing choons, friends, sweaty, rough environmentsprophetone

Forget GLP-1 stocks, baldness drugs are Wall Street’s next goldmine
Drugmakers found a promising cure for the obesity epidemic and their stocks were rewarded for it. Now, investors are salivating over a new crop of companies tackling a more purely aesthetic problem: baldness.
